Sent Check to BVNPT waiting for license couple questions
Did you get it yet? It's been 3 weeks for me, and I know they are backed up, but would be nice to know how backed up thet really are. How long did it take from the day you sent in your money to the day you got your actual license?

LVN License Application Question
That is INSANE!!! How can it be that even in SNF there are no jobs? That is really scary!! I will try in OC too, even in LA I guess. But I didn't think it would be THAT hard to find a job. Have you tried assisted living?

New Grad LVN found AWESOME JOB!
Are there really so many LVN new grads who just cannot find a job ANYWHERE? Omg, I am getting really scared here. I am going to get my license pretty soon, but it sounds like I'm still going to have a hard time. What about SNIFFs? is it hard to get a job there too?

LVN License Application Question
hey, missjay I can't believe how long it took them to get you your license. I have been waiting for a long time too, but should be getting it anytime soon, I hope. They reviewed my case and then sent me the application. I sent it with the 150dlls two weeks ago. How long after you sent the actual app did it take them to send you the license in the mail? I am soooo anxiuos. I am very afraid that even when I get it I won;t be able to find a job either. Did you find a job already? I am in Riverside county as well...

Kaplan college in San Diego RN program
Hi Emily! Could you please give me any info as to how your financial aid turned out? I recently graduated as an LVN from private college but really want to go to private college for RN. The thing that really worries me is how much I'd have to pay as I go along. Did you have to apply for a private loan? Thanks in advance!

Everest College
I can't send pms yet.. but I'm very eager to find more out about everest. I just finished LVN private school, and was able to receive some financial aid. I had a monthly payment of 230/month, which I could barely make. RN is of course more exepensive, and I don't have good credit or a cosigner to use. Does everyone need a private loan to be able to afford the monthly payments? If a private loan is needed, then I am terribly afraid I can't do it. UGH. Any info regarding the financial aspect of it will be greatly appreciated!

Baldy View ROP
I have been looking into the Baldy view ROP lvn program in ontario CA. It's only $3000 for everything. I called them and they said you have to take and pass a test, and the top scoring candidates will then be invited for an interview. Has anyone completed this program? Is the test really hard? the lady said they get about 500 applicants every term, and they only chose 30. It sounds like chances might be very slim.

Riverside Community College waiting list
I just went to a nursing workshop for RCC two weeks ago. I have most of my pre-reqs done, but i got very discouraged because of the waiting list. The way it is rightnow, they don't focus too much on gpa from generad ed units.. only the A&P and MiC classes. The higher the grades in these, the better. But things will change in 2009. They will be using a point scale. They give you 60 pts for a 4.0 gpa in general ed. Another 60 for 4.0 gpa in the A&P, MIC classes, and i don't remember what else they give you points for. It's going to get tougher to try to get in just because sooo many people want to go there. And they said they have so many quailified students as well. I'm thinking on doing my lvn at a 1yr private college and then doing a bridge program somewhere else, because at this rate, it might take another 4 yrs to complete the RCC nursing program including the waitlist.
