Interview Questions & Hand Eczema
I struggle with severe eczema fulltime for years even as a nurse. Should not affect employment. I alternate between gel n handwashing when appropriate. I use coco butter on my skin.

should I talk to HR?
With people not able to get jobs, you are lucky to get a job, it may be more than you was making before, get experience then call the shots

A Nurse I work with is faking their CCRN credentials
Why are you working so hard to get this person fired!!!! It doesn't personally affected you unless you are her pt. My biggest concern if she is faking her RN License (which is to protect the public) . No pt has been harmed/ she is not taking narcartics!! It may be an oversight. Unless you are her supervisor you have NO buisness in her personal affairs and let her manager address this issue without you minding her buisness. Cause to look someone up monthly , you are trying to get her fired. Jobs are hard to come by this days.

Can a RN fill a CNA slot?
then a chance to lose your RN license as a cna without even getting paid the big rn bucks.... I suggest working as a mental health aide or something in health care that doesnt require being certified by bon.

Advise what u think isthe most sought ot nursing speciality
I am a new nurse, and i have been in med-surg for 8months and plan to stay for at least close to a year. Med surg has never been what i really want to do, but i was told to get that yr of medsurg exp to make me more well rounded. I agree med surd helps with prorities/time mang but i feel im not learning a lot. I feel i need another avenue to make myself more marketable. I look @ a few hospitals websites in maryland to see what are they hiring for. I have seen alot of er jobs, tele, less med surg. Do you gu feel working on a open heart unit or cardiac unit is better. I dont think i want to do tele because they play musical chairs, and er scares me from what i read, but will er may make me a better nurse? What are hospitals hiring for in different states?

encouraging team work
what hospital or area you work at because i go through the same thing @ at my hospital. i work in dowtown baltimore city/ maryland general. i work @ a small community hospital where the resources are lacking. we have 0-1 tech, they allways pull the techs if we have 2. we work hard and we hear stuff like patient scores need to go up. i am a new nurse near a year of experince. the new grads are stARTING TO LEAVE due to this enviroment.

new nurse: inner city hospital vrs suburb
As a new nurse with just about 6 months nursing experince at a inner city small community hospital in baltimore md and i am stating to feel stress. For one, i feel there are some olders nurse there to set you up and hoping you make a mistake knowing you are a new grad. I work on the medsurg and there is always a shortage with the nurse/techs. One of my problems the techs do not pull their weight, they are lazy, they dont want to do pt care, they barely tell u abnormal/FS unless u ask them. They will sit there from 7p-10pm complaining there are so tired, when u are the on running around like a chicken. they take 2hr breaks when sometimes I dont eat. Then when i delegate, they want to ask questions or delagate back to u and say we will do it together. I am almost but scared to ask them to do something. When i complain they tell me it is the nurse overall responsiblity. then when you write them the techs up they hate you. I work wit a PA who seems upset that he is not a doctor yelling and screaming, i am to the point next time he yells, i am going to yell back- i should not have to take verbal abuse on a job. I am feeling like does this goes on at other hospitals, I have should i try a hospital where thet hold techs accountable for their actions/ also others. I am to the point med-surg is not for me, maybe more case mang. my mom is a nurse prat, and she tells me inner city hospital is the place to learn. also i feel like i am not learning a lot do to i feel like I am catering to the drug addicts in the city by pushing constant dilauidid/percocets. All they care about is eating/ and pain meds, not about they are killing their selves. I `have less time to spend with the elderly sick pt who need more attention.
