  1. Hello there, Gosh, I am sorry. I am also a new grad, living in the Bay Area and unemployed for about 6 months now. So, I understand some of hardships you're going through. I passed NCLEX in Feb. I still have the books in which I believe were greatly helpful. If you are within the Bay Area and want to borrow my books/CDs, I'll more then happy to let you borrow them. PM me if you're interested.
  2. Hi Commuter, If you don't mind telling where you're located? which metro area? please thanks.
  3. California has many new grad programs but there's so many new grads, so it is tough to get in unless one had preceptorship at that hospital. I am in the bay area and have been searching everyday over the last 6 months. I applie to SNF, rehab, flu clinics, etc... but no luck . So, any nurse, nurse recruiter, or nurse manager out there reading this post, please help us!
  4. Hi Chicookie, Would you please take a look at my resume also? I have PMed it to you. Thank you in advance for your feedback :)
  5. Hi, https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-part-403722.html
  6. I went through the same anxiety as you do. You are determined to be a RN and nothing can stop you from achieving your dream. Believe in yourself that you can do it!
  7. No sweat...ACLS is enjoyable. Just make sure to read the book and do the sample questions!
  8. My schedule was 2-3 hrs of studying/reading then testing myself on whatever I just studied. I finished Saunders, Lacharity and Kaplan books word to word. I made flashcards, cheat sheets, drawings...whatever it takes for me to understand the concepts. Took me about a 1 1/2 month. Passed NCLEX 1st try with 75 Q's. I thought NCLEX is easier than lacharity prioritization book. Hope this helps!
  9. It took me about 2 hours for 75 questions
  10. I agreed with caliotter3, start with one book at a time and be consistent with 2-3 hours of studying each day. Test your self to see if you're really understand what you've read/studied. Eat healthy, workout and get enough sleep!!! THINK POSITIVE.
  11. Hi Lisa, Which part of CA are you at? Thanks
