Ok...so I started writing down what I eat and "planning" exercise and I have gained 3 lbe...which probably doesn't sound like much...but...It is a trend that I seem to be unable to control...I seem to be on this "weight gain" conveyor belt that I cant stop or reverse...or even slow...This is not how I want my new year to go. I cannot afford weight watchers or Doctor diets and I can't afford a gym membership let alone a personal trainer Thanks for listening to my rant Sander6 Thanks for listening

  4. Thank you for starting this thread I am waiting for my finger print card (submitted in October) and hoping to start my CNA program in Jan. (no finger print card...no program...it is a pre-req) I am "swallowing" my stress...and gaining...wanting to lose before school starts. Support would be very helpful

I am hoping/praying to get into the CNA program at my local community college in January...I am just waiting for my fingerprint clearance card to come back...My prayer is that I get the card BEFORE the class fills up...It is killing me...the wait...I know the clearance will go through...but they won't let me apply until it does..grrrrr

After a week in BIO 201 I realized that I was in over my head...(MY last science class was in the 70's) I will start over with BIO 187 in the Spring...I am a little discouraged, but It is important and I want to get it right...But I just pushed everything back a year I am beginning to wonder about the fast track program at Gateway...any input?   10. Happy to announce I survived my first Anatomy lab!!! And I wasy of course the oldest girl in the lab and my poor 19yr old partner was more interested in getting a date then figuring out the lab ...I think she was successful
  11. Good morning fellow pre-nursing students! I too am an older student...actually I am quite a bit older...I am 52 and still have three of my pre-regs to get thru. I start BIO 201 in about an hour (I am a little nervous) Nursing has been something I have always wanted to pursue and I am finally going for it!! Say a prayer for me... Thank you for all of the encouragement..this sight it partly why I have the courage to get this going

  13. Good morning all I too have some questions about the fast track LPN program my goal in nursing is to work in labor and delivery. I am currently a childbirth educator and doula. I am trying to decide which program will most benefit my working goals...I have already several general ed. credits and some math... I don't want to get through the fast track program and realize that I should have just stuck it out for my RN I am not a kid and want to make the best choice based on my career goals, age and financial situation Any comments...advice? thanks P.S.
