If your working for a large hospital they may have a library. You can always borrow their NCLEX books, and you can also go to your local library. A great place to look is on Ebay for cheap books, and Amazon. I did not pay tons of money, I bought 2 books totaling maybe 70 bucks and borrowed from my work library and other nurses, and I passed my boards. My friend paid hundreds of dollars for a NCLEX prep course and after she passed she gave me her password to log in and do the Q bank questions.

I took my boards for the second time on Tuesday, and passed. I had 265 the first time, and 175ish this time. It seems like you got alot of the same type of questions I got. You are feeling like I did, I just knew I failed, but in the back of my mind I kinda felt like I might have passed. I knew I got some right, but some I had no clue. You just have to wait and see. It is out of your hands now, and if you fail, the nice part is you can keep taking it!

I took my NCLEX yesterday for the second time and passed, and I used 1. Kaplan 2008-2009 2. Saunders Edition 4 Comprehensive review 3. Lippincotts Review 8th edition 4. HurstReviews NCLEX-RN review Plus, my friend had paid the 700 dollars to take Kaplan, and once she passed her online membership was goof til June so she gave me her password and I did the Q bank on there. I think what helped me was doing the Qbank and the Saunders I skimmed through the 2 days before my exam, and I am so happy I did because alot of my questions related to alot of stuff in there. I was not a big studier, I was not religious at questions, I did them every here and there, but for the 4 days before I tried to do as many as I could and looked at that Saunders book. I tested yesterday and you sound like you had the exact same test I had. I passed with 175 questions.

Me again! Sorry, I just saw your comment about running out of time. The people at Kaplan say that if you run out of time they look at your last 60 questions, and if you were above passing standard then you will pass, if you dropped below the line they fail you.

I took my NCLEX Oct 22, 07 and received 265 questions, and failed:(. I just retook them yesterday and received around 175ish, and found out today that I passed:p (my RN license number is posted on BON)! So, the number doesn't mean anything. I had 2 friends get 265 and both passed. Let me tell you, I seriously left yesterday thinking I failed, my last question was a drug calc that I missed, so I had myself convinced that I failed since I missed my last question, turns out that isn't true! Just keep positive and hope for the best. I have been in both situations, I felt the low of clicking on that link and seeing FAILED and the high I felt today when I logged in and saw REGISTERED NURSE! What a weight off my shoulders! Failing isn't the end of the world, just means you have to wait a few more weeks to retake it. I think for me waiting 6 months helped because I got more experience on the floor and was able to prioritize and apply on the test. Did you have alot of higher level questions? Like application, prioritization?
