  1. I took NCLEX on Thursday, June 19th, computer cut off at 75 questions and I felt like I was about to have a nervous breakdown. On the drive home-I don't even remember the drive home. Nothing I studied was on the test (peds, maternity). I felt like I wasted two years of studying. For 24hrs I was a wreck. Friday afternoon-24hrs after I finished the test, I look on the Pa Board of Nursing website and a license was issued in my name. I passed the NCLEX-I don't know how but I did. I do not wish that test on my worst enemy!! I am not going to say relax because I have been through what you are going through now. Just have positive thoughts and remember that GOD makes the impossible, possible. GOOD LUCK
  2. I started following Suzanne's plan but I do not want to send her an email yet because I graduate on May 2nd and I can not pick a date to sit for NCLEX until my school sends proof that I have graduated from nursing school. According to Suzanne's posting if you do not include your NCLEX test date she will not add you to her program. I am days away from completing tip #1, What should I do? Send her a pm and explain that I do not have a date or just wait for a date. The coordinator at my nursing school says it should take 2-3 weeks(due to paperwork) before I can actually pick a date to sit for NCLEX. I want to study and since I've heard so many great things about Suzanne's program I would love to do that. But I need tip#2 to continue. What should I do??? Help me
  3. Where did you purchase the Kaplan strategy book?
  4. Thanks to all who responded to my post. I really appreciate the insight. Before I was discouraged because some people make it seem like you are doomed to fail NCLEX unless you pay hundreds of dollars for a review course. I am happy that there are other options out there that do not require alot of money. Thanks to everyone.
  5. Thanks for the advice! I will definitely look into that.
  6. I also have the 3rd ed. of Saunders but I read in one of the forums that the 4th ed. is better. I will be purchasing that. I've also read alot of forums talking about Suzanne's program so I definitely will be starting that a.s.a.p. Thank You:bow:
  7. I am in the same boat, no money for Kaplan. I am going to try Suzanne's plan. Good Luck to all upcoming NCLEX takers!!
  8. Hello everyone, This is my first post. I have been coming to this site for the past two weeks just reading through the forums. I graduate next week and I now need to focus on passing the NCLEX. I went on an interview and accepted the job but I do not want to work until I pass the boards. The job wants me to start in July. My question to you all is what other ways can I prepare for the boards without spending hundreds of dollars on a review course? I struggled all through nursing school with paying bills and my bank account is all dried out. I am a wife and mother of two. Please, I need some advice from people who did not take a review course and still were able to pass NCLEX on the first go around!! Thank You
