  1. Please consider Suzanne's Plan. i just took my nclex rn this month and passed using suzanne's plan only. Her plan is awesome and believe me once you get her second tip, you will realize how much sense it makes. i got 75 questions. i felt it was saunders all the way.:nuke:
  2. First of all i want to say I want to Give Thanks to Almightly God for giving me the strength and sanity to go through this and passing with 75 questions only............. Next, i owe many thanks to Suzanne. Suzanne you ROCK!!!!!!!!! I loved your plan when you sent it out to me. I sticked to it and it paid off. I thank you, you truely are awesome, really this even doesn't begin to describe you. You are very busy and yet take the time to help when you really don't have too. God Bless You!!!!!!:loveya::loveya::loveya: Now for anyone who is skeptical, one word, okay a few words "Suzanne's Plan"!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. No, i am not saying that. Each person is different in how they prepare for the NCLEX. I felt i needed the "content" and kaplan, even though i did not take the qtrainer or classes, i just briefly ready the book when i first started to study, felt i was horrible at answering their questions. With reviewing content, one night i said, let me do some kaplan questions. i did and felt i scored better having reviewed content.
  4. oh, i also had those SATA in a row. last time i counted it was 12. towards the end, if one of the options was "jump up in your chair and scream" i would have selected it!
  5. Yes, study both if you want. I only studied Saunders b/c i felt i needed to review content. Today, after taking the nclex, i felt it is an absolute must to know your content even if you learned the kaplan strategies.
  6. I just got home from taking the NCLEX and i felt that Saunders did a good job with explaining content. Kaplan-maybe for strategy, but it all came down to content. i got 12 SATA, 2 med questions 3-4 infection control, 8 meds and i would say that 80% was prioritize, who would you see first, who is in the greatest risk. I also got 2-3 about floating nursings which i thought was weird b/c it asked what patient would you give this nurse from such and such unit. i know that is delegation, but i expected to be asked about lvns or nursing assistants. I got a lot of teaching patients. Endocrine, DM, peds cleft lip, and Botox!!! hope thst helps. i want to thank all who post on this wonderful site. it has truely been helpful. now i have to wait.....
  7. Good luck to you and me too! i take mine the day after you. i am also extremely nervous!:heartbeat
  8. i was reading your post and sorry you had to go through that. i was wondering, did you read any of the test taking strategies that come after reading the rationale. i like this area and read both the rationale and test strategy because it helps me to train my brain how to think.
  9. i have heard that on the NCLEX some people have gotten cardiac sinus rhythm strips and have been asked to identify the rhythm. i am okay with normal, bradycardia and tachycardia, but there are ones that drive me nuts such as Tordade De Pointes. how would one be expected to read and identify the pqrst waves in that. i can see the NCLEX asking what interventions would be used, but not about how to read some of these complex strips. Can anyone please advise, am i wrong to think this?
  10. i also heard that you need to get 80% of the questions right on the test for a passing score. i don't know if that is true. :uhoh21:
