  1. Hello, I need advice on what to do about my current job situation and search for a new one. I am a new grad... graduated in May 2010 with my BSN. Applied all over the place, finally took the first job I could get in August, which was at a LTC facilty. I have been at my current job for 4 months now and am ready to look for something different. My question is, when applying for jobs, do I allow my current employer to be contacted? I know on some applications there is a box to check yes or no if you would allow it, and if not you need to explain why. Also, should I ask fellow co-workers or my immediate supervisor if they will give me a reference? I am nervous about this whole situation because I haven't been at my current job for very long. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks:)
  2. The trick worked for me! I passed :) I searched on my state board of nursing website 24 hours after my test and my license was posted!!
  3. I took the nclex this morning! I tried the peasonvue trick and got the good pop-up so I am hoping it works!
  4. I think it is supposed to be: Do not delegate what you can EAT= Evalute, Assess, and Teach :)
  5. Has anyone applied or been accepted into this program? I am looking into applying to this program after I graduate but am wondering if private student loans that were taken out for tuition and living expenses qualify? Also, does anyone know of any oregon hospitals that would qualify for this program? Thanks!
  6. Swimmer34, I can see where you are coming from and I can understand your concerns. I am currently in the Linfield program and will be graduating in May of 2010. I can certainly understand why you would want to do the accelerated program because it is so much cheaper. I sometimes regret coming here and having to pay so much, but I realize that I am so close to my goal that it does not matter much to me anymore. The school is great despite some fall backs but I am sure every school has positives and negatives! Good luck with whatever you decide!
  7. I had a mild case of shingles about two years ago when I was 18 years old. I had a little cluster of bumps on my side under my arm pit that developed into blisters and then open wounds. It was not painful at all, I was just worried because it looked pretty nasty and everyone I showed suggested I should get it checked out. I went to the doctor about a week after my symptoms appeared and was told that I had shingles, that there was nothing that they could do about it, and that it would go away on it's own. After talking to other people who have had it and reading the posts on this thread I have realized that it is often very painful. I was just wondering if it is common for it to not be painful as well? Thanks :heartbeat
  8. ideal RN, I would like to have some more information on the supplements that you are taking. It sounds like they work very well! Thanks!
