That's a lot of apps. I am really surprised that I got in. My wife found out today that she is waitlisted so we are hoping she can squeeze into one of those seats.

Thanks Barleynhops and LinfieldNursingGuy for the advice on different areas around Portland. The SE area sounds kind of cool and we liked it there when we visited a few years ago. I look forward to meeting you guys at the orientation. Out of curiosity, does anyone know the stats about the applicant pool? How many applied? How many accepted, etc..?

My wife also applied to the regular BSN and she has not heard back either. When we first applied and received postcards from Linfield notifying us that our apps were received, I got mine about 2 weeks before hers arrived. It may be that they send out the ABSN letters before the regular BSN. Hang in there, it should come soon!

I got my acceptance letter today! I made it in for the Fall 2009 start date. I am really excited and can't wait to start. So can anyone recommend a nice area for housing? We are moving from out of state and are relatively unfamiliar with the area. We really liked the NW area, but are willing to commute a little ways if we have to. Oh yeah, we have an 8 month old lab puppy so it would be nice to find an area that is pet friendly. Thanks!

I haven't heard back yet either, but I am out of state and suspect it will take a little while longer to hear. It does make me a little anxious, however, knowing that others have heard and I haven't. Just so you know, my wife also applied for the regular BSN program and hasn't heard back either. We thought it might be because of the distance, but are not sure. I hope we hear soon.

Congratulations on getting in! I haven't heard anything yet, but knowing that some people have found out is going to make me even more anxious to hear from them.

Did anyone out there apply to Linfield for the 2009-2010 school year? I applied to the summer start ABSN program and am anxiously awaiting their response that should be sent out next week. I just wanted to start a thread for anyone that applied and is waiting to hear back form the school. Good luck everyone!
