  1. I love this parady of SSRI antidepressants--make sure your sound is on! http://www.astonishedhead.com/images/OVOID_123.swf
  2. Judging by your post, your English grammar is fine; could it be that you have a heavy accent that makes you hard to understand? I've known people who were fluent in English but because they retained heavy accents, they had difficulty communicating. Our local adult education center offered classes for internationals called "accent reduction"; you might want to see if something like that is available in your area. Or you could even get private sessions with a speech therapist or an ESL teacher, telling them you want to focus on your accent and not vocabulary, grammar, etc. Good luck!
  3. Yeah, I saw it; they really brought out the old stereotype about men in nursing being gay or at least effeminate. (rolls eyes) A shame. They could have had Jack decide to become a nurse without having him assume that all the other male nurses were gay, and certainly without the one man bursting into tears when he found out Jack was leaving the program. Ms. "are you man enough to be a nurse?" Pomfrey
  4. I've worn glasses since I was 9 years old, and finally had LASIK surgery at the age of 36. I still sometimes find myself reaching for my glasses in the morning, or trying to take them off when I go to wash my face. :) I like not having to deal with contacts, and I would worry about having contact lenses in for long nursing shifts. My eyesight is not perfect, but it wasn't with glasses, either. I see "starbursts" and halos around lights at night, which is common with this surgery. It will have been a year in January since I had the procedure.
