  1. Oh! I apologise Silverdragon. If u had used 'visa retrogression' and not 'have u heard of retrogression' i won't have gotten it all twisted. I just read it up.
  2. I know retrogression and i find it offensive that u are insinuating am being retrogressive. My thread is to find out those that has similiar experiences with me. My last attempt on CGFNS was 5 years ago, lots must have changed. Am not based in US and i've not researched on the exam until now. Was that a wrong thing to do?
  3. Didn't know that! Whats BON? Thank you!!!!
  4. I so wanted to work internationally. To assist, an uncle registered me for CGFNS exam. Got the books, read like mad and had the confident that the exam will be a piece of cake. First attempt, NOT SUCESSFUL, had 26 points more to have scaled thru. Second attempt, NOT SUCESSFUL, had 40 points more to have succeeded. Now, am done trying. What did i do wrong? I wonder till date. So, tell me viewer, have u ever attempted CGFNS exam? Did u pass or fail?
  5. As long as he is seriously searching for a job and making every effort to get one, no problem. I will support him. If he is just being lazy and selfish, oh my goodness, out d door my support goes!
  6. I grew up knowing my mum (in loving memory) and aunt (retired now) as nurses. Home visiting and assisting my mum became a routine right from a tender age. So naturally, it was a forgone conclusion in my family that i will become a nurse too! That was their assumption. For me, I WANT TO BE AN ARTIST! I wrote a short story got junior class and was the best art student in my class group. My work, last time i checked, was still in d art studio at school. I love anything embroidery till date, love good art works. One day, at age 16 precisely, i was all alone (mum was home visiting) at the health centre quarter when a pregnant woman, obviously in labour walked in and she walked straight to the labour room with me tagging behind, loosened her wrapper, opened her legs and voila, it was head on perineum! Oh my Gosh, no cellphone back then and i can't leave her alone to go searching for my mum. So, what did i do? I panicked! Look at me, about to finish college, am not a nurse. The only knowledge i had was all practical whilst assisting my mum!! I took a deep, deep breath, wore my gloves and received the baby, yuk, all slimy! Its a boy! Sucked out mucus, covered him up. Lo and behold, on checking the new mum, placenta has expelled. Talk about smooth delivery. It was a scary moment but it changed my life. The baby was so cute, i was so excited and it made my day. I decided at that very moment to become a nurse! And to think that i wanted to be an artist! Well, thats life. What's your story? How come you are a nurse?
  7. CURE FOR HICCUP: Get a glass full of water, slowly sip and count until you get to your current age, then STOP! E.g. If you are 1 year, count just one. If you are 20 years, count twenty. If you are 100 years, count hundred. Etc. DELAYED DEV. STAGE: If a child's developmental stage is slow, its simply because the mother ate lots and lots of snail during pregnancy!
  8. this is VERY funny! I pretty much understand the feeling. Thanks.
  9. Hi, this story is very interesting and funny too. It has given me a flasbback on my very first day as a graduate nurse! Thanks:yeah:
