  1. I Passed!!!!!!
  2. I just found out that I PASSED!!!
  3. Oh wow, sorry I didn't see the date.
  4. Advocate Christ Hospital-in Oak Lawn-pay starts at 26.50. I'm surprised that Rush doesn't pay their new grads more!
  5. Did anyone apply to the School Nurse Practitioner program at UIC? In what ways do you feel that you enhanced your Graduate application to UIC? I recently graduated in December, and am applyind to UIC and other grad schools this spring for the Fall 2009. Thanks in advance for all your help!
  6. Pregnancy Induced Hypertension: The nurse would be MOST concerned if the patient complained of epigastric pain and a HA. COPD: Administer low flow Oxygen! We never administer: 5L NC
  7. I just took my exam yesterday and it turned off on the 78th question. It was my second time taking the exam, and I believe I was actually more nervous than the first time. This is absolute torture, I was an excellent student as an Undergrad and I just don't understand why this exam was so hard for me. I'll find out tomorrow if I have to start telling all my family, "third time is the charm!" God, I hope I passed!!!:uhoh21:
  8. I just took the NCLEX for the 2nd time, yesterday. I'm more nervous than I was the first time. Last time I had 265 questions, and this time I only had 78. Not sure if it's a good or a BAD thing!! I'm really stressed, I'll find out tomorrow, if I didn't pass I'm not sure I'll have the motivation or time to study all over again. I was on the Dean's list all 2 years of my Undergraduate, and I don't understand why this exam was so hard for me. I really only studied for two weeks the first time. But, my second time I took Kaplan's online review course and finished it all and studied for 2.5 months.
  9. I failed NCLEX my first time, reviewing only for 2 weeks before with the NCBSN online course. I just took the exam again yesterday, and reviewed with an online Kaplan course. It helped me a lot and made me feel more confident on how to approach the exam. The first time I had 265 questions; yesterday I had only 78. God, I hope I passed!
  10. Congrats!!! I find out tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. if I passed or not. It's my second time taking it and I have no idea how I did???
  11. Yes, in IL it is 4 courses-which can be done 100% online in a semester-and also an internship. As I mentioned before, I'm applying to UIC School Nurse Certificate program. I'm just feeling discouraged because of all the negative feedback I read about feeling considered "below," teachers as a school nurse. What are your thoughts on this?
  12. That's exactly what I would want as a schedule, having summers and holidays off would be great. So holding only a Masters you can't be on a tenured track in most Universities? I didn't know that. I'm contemplating getting a PhD. in Nursing since my ultimate career goal is to become a Nursing professor. What are your thoughts on the BSN-PhD. programs?
  13. hello, i'm curious what are your hours and schedules like? also as a np can you teach nursing? thanks for all your input, i am really interested in learning more about my options as a nurse, and what type of advanced roles there are.
  14. I'd like to know the answer to your question as well. I applied for a CNL Masters program but am contemplating switching over to a NP track. I'd like to know a little bit more about work schedules, opportunities, and salaries?
  15. I applied for the fall semester so I think I can still switch majors to the Nurse Practitioner track since the Clinical Specialist degree is not offered anymore. I don't see myself retiring as a bedside nurse, so I don't think the CNL is the best option for me from what I'm hearing!
