  1. Do the CEN Review 2 day courses come with a book?
  2. I also did the Pratt Community College LPN to RN Online program. I do know Butler CC and Hutchison CC each have online programs as well. May be worth checking into.
  3. tparks, we had some folks that were cheating in our class as well. It was extremely sad to haer this is still occuring. It's especially sad that it will affect future students who are in the program for it's convenience as well. Congrats on your upcoming pinning!
  4. I graduated Nov 2009. We had 2 ladies from Maryland in our class. They still had to travel to Kansas for the clinical portion. They were able to do their community health rotation in Maryland with a preceptor. We all did our community health rotation with a preceptor of choice in our own respective communities.
  5. A couple of weeks. I believe the transition course finishes up in the middle of Dec and the course starts the first week in Jan.. At least that's how it was when I did it. I graduated in 2009.
  6. They usually notify you if you've been accepted about a month prior to the transition course.. So, probably Nov you'll find out. The transition course starts in December. I graduated from this program in Nov. of 2009. Where are you located? I know someone who is also applying for the start date of Jan. 2011.

I took Chem thru Edukan. I can tell you, for me personally, It was extremely difficult. I had a really hard time with this course. It was probably just me, but I really struggled. There was luckily enough of homework to help keep my grade above the needed passing score. Good luck! Oh, the instructor was great! She answered all of my questions, etc. I also found the online tutor helpful. They were great to work with and help me to understand a little better.

    Yes, that is correct.
  9. IMO, that's not a true 'diagnosis' necessarily. That's more of a "reason" for the scan. It's needed for any type of scan to be ran. I think it's acceptable to write it in that manner.
  10. You are correct Heather. No more working as a GPN in the state of Kansas.

In regards to the Micro.. I LOVED that class!! I did really well in that. I agree with Tparks in regards to the tests. Review what's available to you. Play around with the virtual lab program just for fun to figure it out. That's what I did. It really made a difference once I got the hang of it.

I took all of my prereqs through EduKan. Including Chemistry. I struggled with Chem, passed with the C required. It may just be me, I just don't get Chemistry. It was difficult but you may do just fine. Carol Bonham is who my instructor was and she was great to communicate with, etc.. Very knowledgable. I didn't have any trouble with any of my other prereqs I took through Edukan.
  13. Apply apply apply.. That's the best advice I have. If you want to work somewhere, then put in your application and hope it all works out! Good luck to you.
  14. I was still working on my pre-reqs when accepted into the program. They just have to be complete by the time the actual program begins. I didn't think it was too difficult to be accepted into the program.
  15. They're tough, I won't kid you there. Really use the study guides made available to you. They are so worth the time to use. But know they throw stuff in there that's not on the study guide. I reviewed my old study guides as well. The final isn't really any different than any of the other exams. You'll do fine.
