  1. I received my ATT via Email, I believe it was about three weeks after transcripts were mailed.
  2. I'm not sure what the job market is right now, but I just graduated with my BSN and had no problem finding a job in the Tulsa area. However, I began the job search and interview process early (I interviewed and was hired 5 months before graduation!) just to be safe. From what I hear, none of my classmates have had any real issues finding a job, and most got their first choice position. My guess is that your best bet would be to call the nurse recruitersf for any hospitals you are interesting in (things could have changed a lot, who knows!). Hope that helps.
  3. I graduate July 31st at 7pm from my accelerated BSN program! If I counted correctly that's only 48 days....
  4. My suggestions for the first day of class: 1.) A spacious planner 2.) A spiral notebook 3.) Plenty of writing supplies:-) 4.) A rolling backpack S.) A folder for paperwork
  5. I am going to be a new grad RN in the ICU and I worry about the same thing!
  6. I did an externship about half-way through my ABSN program and it was an invaluable experience. Although I did not necessarily like the specialty I had chosen to do my externship in, I got to learn more about what its like to carry a full patient load and to manage my time appropriately (of course under an RN's supervision). If nothing else, it also taught me where I don't want to work after I graduate. Since you get to "bounce around" to different areas, this sounds like a pretty cool externship! Good Luck!
  7. I plan on buying myself a Coach wallet and purse and taking my family and boyfriend on a vacation. Don't know where yet, I just want it to be warm, sunny and far far away from school....
  8. Yes, and I am only in my second semester with about 9 months left til graduation.
  9. To me, this is what makes nursing awesome. The nurses (and students:-)) are just as different as the many different specialties. I don't think that every nurse (or student) likes every type of nursing possible. More power to them if they do:-). I haven't found what area makes me the happiest yet, but I can't wait until I do.
  10. I just finished my first semester of the ABSN program at OU-Tulsa. I have 21 days off until fall semester and it's awesome! I am trying to do as little as possible...and a lot of sleeping:-) Congratulations and good luck to my fellow students!
  11. I love living in Tulsa! I've lived here all of my life, though, so I am pretty biased:-). Its big, but not too big if that makes any sense. I feel its a good town to raise a family in (although I don't have children yet), but its probably not a great town if you like the "night life". I wish you luck!
  12. I may be mistaken, but I believe OSU-Tulsa offers some sort of CNA training as well.
  13. Congrats on getting in!:)
  14. Amen to that!
