  1. Congrats on getting into the March class. I will be attending the March BOLC class as well. There is a group on Facebook for everyone who is attending this class. Just an FYI. See you there!
  2. I am sorry to hear you did not get in. I bet you would have gotten in had the application been recieved before the deadline. At least you will know where you rank and can work to improve your points. Good Luck next time around!!
  3. I like that. This was my favorite: Though there is a storm coming, I will have no fear, for I am learning how to sail my own ship.
  4. That is the some scope I have. Love it. The only thing I can say is two other students in my class had that scope and it was stolen from them during clinical this past semester. I am seriously thinking of getting a cheaper scope to prevent that from happening.
  5. Name: Kanga School: California State University Program: 4-year BSN Interests: Trauma, ER, Flight Nurse Fears: making a mistake that causes harm to a patient. :S Something interesting: I have been working in the medical field for over 10 years in various positions. I am also a volunteer with the local search and rescue unit. December 2009 here I come!!
  6. http://usmilitary.about.comGreat website. It has just was I needed. :) Based on it, I will qualify medicaly.
  7. I found this link about questions they supposedly ask. How long until you finish your BSN? ------- Thanks for the website. That really helps out!! I will graduate in Dec '09. Still two years away, but I know it will go fast. Thanks again for the site.
  8. Does anyone know what the medical requirments are? I was told that if I had ANY previous medical conditions, they would not accept me. However, I do not have anything right now (healthy as a horse, hee hee). I am really interested in pursing this avenue once my finished the BSN program.
  9. I am a patient care volunteer for a non-profit hospice. I can say that they are great, and really work to provide the client with that they need. and want Sometimes that is home visits by a RN, sometimes that means staying at the hosice house, or it could mean having a volunteer provide companionship. I agree that not all hopsices' are equal.
  10. I will graduate in Dec '09 and will be 35 years young. :)
  11. I was a CNA before I started the nursing program. I am one year into the program, and I can say that it is a different type of nursing than being a CNA. I love what I am doing so far. While I was a CNA worked at a SNF. I think the environment alone is very different from an acute level hospital. Try working there as a CNA and see what you think.
  12. I am sure you already found out if you got in or not. I am currently attending CSU. Anything in the 80's is great. There were people who were waitlisted and still got in with scores in the high/mid 70's. Good Luck!
