I was not referring to working while working on your BSN from your ASN. I am not working at all finishing up my CRNA degree. However, Only part time ICU experience for only 1 year is probably too little experience entering CRNA school. And I imagine ...
No one says we aren't 'Nurses'. when we graduate we are called Nurse Anesthetist's. Not an anesthesia nurse which is quite demeaning seeing the degree and all the training we have been through. I am still a nurse yes, but I find it very demeaning to ...
I agree, I think there is a minimum of hours also so going full time would benefit you the best, also, if you are only working part time and only for 1 year before you apply that is probably too little experience.
We let 2 family members in at the time we are placing an epidural. When we place it I pretty much always tell people if they feel light headed to sit down in that spot immediately. I personally do not feel the law suit will go anywhere, I could be wr...
To me it seemed like they were looking for being able to perform under pressure. They know that everyone is most likely nervous going into the interviews but they want to see how much you really know. The application you give them won't tell them any...
before I go back to the room I tell the patient what to expect once we get to the room, ie. hooking up monitors, letting them breathe oxygen while I get ready to put them to sleep. Right before I start pushing the drugs I tell them they will start to...
Big Dave, what kind of origination fee did you have with that loan? I just got approved for a 20,000 dollar loan through bankone but the origination fee was 2,400 dollars.

I have only had one case of a live organ harvest but like sonessrna said, I also like to run my anesthesia to take care of the vital organs that they are harvesting. Amnesia is not a concern since the patient is brain dead. You are concerned about h...
If I could give anybody a recommendation for TWU, especially those who will not be staying in Fort Worth for their phase II. I would stay in the dorms on campus. I know it doesn't sound fun but you will be suprised at the number of people who do stay...
Dr Reinke is HARD. Like I have told everyone else who has asked, the class is very doable. You just have to commit to it. When you take the first test, realize it will be the hardest test you have ever taken probably, not that the material is so hard...
Congrats to you all for your acceptance. The road is hard but you can do it. I will finish in December from TWU and cannot wait! The light at the end of the tunnel is not too far off!
I go to TWU and I would put my CRNA education against any other schools. Not to put down any other school at all, but I do feel like we are very well prepared if not better than some I have seen. There are flaws with any program.
I would recommend living in the on campus dorms. I know that does not sound good but when I was there I don't think I would have passed CRNA school without it. Good luck
We do not have BIS monitors but have a couple PSA 4000 which is close to the same thing. I have only used it a couple times since we run way more rooms than have PSA monitors. I am still in school so I don't know everything but I try to run at least ...
I would just look at a place you might want to live for the next 2 years. I think all the clinical sites have good teaching. I am at the Jonesboro clinical site and love it.
Best thing I could recommend you doing is taking your own notes in class and using them with the preprinted notes. I would not sit and follow along with the preprinted notes when he lectures. I know people who did that but it makes it very easy to no...
A nurse anesthetist did seem to be the anesthesia provider in the first case as it states in both articles. Brenna's Dad, in the case you have with the anesthesiologist, it said the blood was not crimson as it should be, looking at it now knowing it ...
I think you said it right, uninformed, uneducated, and I would say sometimes, jealous. But I have not seen any reply from Vogue about the AANA presidents letter. I would be highly interested in seeing what they have to say!
