  1. What about the countless long hours that the CRNA has already spent as an RN. Its not like the CRNA is new to nursing/medicine. I havent heard of any CRNA programs that accept a new RN with out any experience. I imagine there is more hours in AA programs because these people are starting from scratch with only some pre med classes and a BS in GOK (God only knows) :smiley_ab
  2. I applied to Texas Wesleyan, interviewed and will hear in April. Applied to TCU, interviewed and accepted.
  3. I will be attending TCU in the fall also. I look forward to meeting any of my SRNA classmates before classes begin. Does anyone have any feedback from current students on how the program is going? PM me LAshbyCCRN
  4. I AGREE.. ...EVERYTHING THAT I STUDIED FOR THE CCRN IS VALUABLE INFO
  5. I took/passed the exam on Jan. 19, 2005. I studied a bunch. Most of what I studied wasnt on the test. Of course, what I was weak on was on the test. I was really suprised that it was not that hard. Follow the blue print. Have a good understanding of the general concepts outlined. Know wour more common hemodynamic values...svr, pcwp, rap/cvp, pap. Know your shock states, basic vent settings and ABG's. I think the only other lab value I saw was an H/H....then I saw some weird ethical questions which i cant recall, and know that I missed. I finished the test in a little over an hour..took a b/r break and then retook/ checked every answer and still had 45 minutes left. Take a big breath...you know this stuff...I was accepted to TCU CRNA program on 2/16/05...you will get there soon too... Congrats in advance on passing your CCRN : :Melody: hatparty: :Melody: LAshbyCCRN
  6. just received my letter of acceptance to TCU.... Will be doing residency at Arrowhead in Colton Ca. Wife and kids are excited to move there when clinicals start. So much to think about, but we have prepared pretty well... escrow closed on our investment house the day before yesterday...so I payed off my truck, credit cards, and went shopping for a lap top computer...what a great week. :Melody: :Melody:
  7. Anyone Doing Their Residency In Penscola Florida?
  8. Hello. I have been reading these crna posts for well over a year now. I have found the information here to be very helpful, and have used the information here as a road map to follow to get to crna school. I have recently interviewed at TCU and TWU in the past 2 weeks. Both interviews went well. Clinical sites in North Texas are filling up fast, if not already full. My wife, children and I are comitted to getting "in", and will relocate anywhere for my crna residency. Does anyone have any info on Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton Ca. or the available clinical sites Pensacola Florida?. I am California native, (but Texan By choice) so Colton Ca. is very familiar to me, but the hospital is not. I sure would appreciate any info, and look forward to being an active participant in these discussions. Thanks lashbyccrn
