  1. I meant to say so they would NOT be so see through, although I am sure some could care less.
  2. White from head to toe, even the underwear. I bought nude so they would be so see through but they said we had to wear white underwear so they would know that we had some on. The suits are see through from top to bottom.
  3. I am having the same test next Friday. I have always had problems with roman numerals. I had a list if the numbers that was given to me in the packet first day and I can't find in. Also another problem with me is the pid, bid, whatever they are all the abbrevations and I have no idea what most of them mean.
  4. This is my problem. In all of my other classes I learned what I needed to for that test and then forgot the information. I can't do that anymore. And the time management is unreal. I seem to not be able to fit school, work, my family, and study in together. Plus my husband works 7-4 and then has school for 5-9 for night s week so I can't depend on him during the week. ON the weekends is the only time that I work, which I think will be one thing that I have to cut out. I just don't see how some people do it. Ashley
  5. i was class of 2002. I should have studied more but you know how that goes. I did not go back through the book.
  6. everything is going good for now, i am not sure that i can hold working so much. i have the 8am class mwf and the 8am lab tr what about you? i was wondering if u had decided to stay and go to school there. how did you do on the test, it was not as bad as i thought but then again a girl know that is repeating the first year said that it was way easier this year than last year. ashley

I did a few weeks ago that someone had found so free downloads but I can't remember where. When you buy the program do you also have that version or it is like a subscription that you have pay for. Ashley

I know that this had been asked many times but what kind of PDA do you have? What do you think makes your a good one. I really want one that is easy to use and affordable. What are some good programs to put on it. I am looking for one to use for school, it will be going with me to the hospital. I was reading on a websites earlier that some PDA's don't work with Vista, have any idea which one. The computer froze before I could read it all. I am also posting this in the students forum. Thanks Ashley
  9. in the RN program, Is there anyone else on here that just started ICC, I would like to meet someone else on here that is going there? I thought that I might know someone in my class, I know one person guess that is better than none. Ashley
  10. What is the height and weight standards?
  11. How long does OBLC last? Do you have to have your BSN inorder to sign up? Ashley
  12. a co worker in his 2nd of nursing school and was talking about going to sign up to be a army nurse when he is done with school, he was saying that you don't go to boot camp when you go in the "army health service"? does do he mean, he tried to explain but i still did not understand. what is the differences (besides the obvious being a nurse) between the normal way in of the army and the health side. do you get more sign on or loan repayment money? i have tried to find a website that could be some information but i have no luck, although i can't hunt around on the web very good. sorry if this is wordy or hard to understand, it is easier to talk it out, rather then type it. ashley
  13. Another little book like RNotes that I like is Mosby's F&E Memory Notecards. It's nice to look at when a pt has F&E problems. It has little cartoons and info about S/S, causes of the imbalance, nursing/medical management, etc. I was planning on getting the F&E Made Easy book, but this was smaller and cheaper so I went with it. I seen this book in BAM today, looked like a good one. This will be the next one I get. So far I have got to Fundamentals, charting, assessment, and dosage. I hope to get the IV, and fluids and electrolytes.
  14. I was looking around last night and found the pharmacology made easy book, but I found two: nursing and clincial. Which one do you buy? I don't know the difference between them. Did anyone find this book helpful. Ashley
  15. I got them off my ebay-half and amazon. I know that my books for non nursing classes seem to not change much over time, I used a micro book that was 2 eds behind and nothing changed that we went over but 2 pages. I will be looking 1editoin behind book.
  16. I have been looking around on websites and was wondering what kind of bookbag do you have? I want a rolling bag but a good one. Where did you get it and how much did it cost? What is the good and bad of the bag. Ashley
  17. Great question, I thought I asked that too!! Thanks
  18. I think the dosage book will help me understand the math. I know that it is suppose to be basic math, but I am so bad in math. What about any of the pocket guides, not just the easy set but others that you found helpful. I bought the Rnotes pocket guide(Davis I think) and just from flipping through it I think it was worth the money sent on it. Thanks for the replies
  19. i will be starting nursing school in the fall and i am wondering if the made incredibly easy books are any good. they have so many that i think would help me in the long to have, even if just for reference for tests. did you buy any and which ones helped you the most. i am really looking into the charting and assessment books. i already bought the fundamentals and math dosage but have not got them yet. ashley
  20. instead of taking fundamentals or the math dosage(which is what you take in the 1st semester) you would take a mastering test and if you pass then you don't have to have that class because you already know the skills that you would learn in those classes.
  21. this is the one question that i wanted to ask and could not word it right. thank you. through the research that i have been doing on the subject i have found that houston is top of the list. i plan i move when i finish school, and we are really looking at texas. we went to san antonio on our honeymoon and i did not want to come home to mississippi. ashley
  22. Have you asked about challenging into the program? I don't know how the time frame would work out for you but you could always ask. Ashley
  23. i am married and have daughter, she is 19 months. i live 10 minutes from the school. i may know some of your husbands family i have lived here my whole life. if you are paying out off pocket for books the list for them should be out by the middle of july, don't buy them in the bookstore if you don't have to. i don't have the book anymore, but i got off of cheapesttextbooks.com for 10 bucks. the isbn is 0072951702. make sure you get in all of your required proof (shots, cpr, and physical) it can take a week or so to change your major to be able to registrar for nursing classes. is micro the only other non nursing class that you need? i may can help with the good teachers in the other classes. i am taking fundamentals mwf 8am and lab on t & r 8 am and the dosage fri at 10. do you know anyone else that got into the program, because you are the only other person that i know of the has got in. anything else, just ask!! ashley
  24. For micro buy the 5th edition off online, I never used mine more 6 times and the 6th edition is 185 in the bookstore. I have been buying up pens, folders, and paper, but nothing else. There is a thread on here "what are the items you most need most for nursing school" look it up. You will need cards for micro. Do you plan to work, or do you have children? We will for sure have to look each other up when school starts. Ashley
