What are your plans as a RN?
Hello! We have diffferent stories but same problems. How to get a nursing experience. I have read your posts guys, here's mine. I took NLE last June 2007 (one year ago.. ). Soon after the board the exam, I decided to apply for any job that will help me earn some money while waiting for the results.(I planned to save money that I can use once I am ready looking for hospitals to apply to). After a week, I was hired as a call center agent. I find it actually a great experience as I am practicing my English everyday. I guess it is an advantage when I take IELTS. The NLE results came, and I passed. I am actually very much happy with my score! I immediately applied for IV Training, and completed my requirements. Unfortunately, my father died few days after. That's when all my concrete plans broke into pieces. I became the breadwinner of the family, and cannot quit my job, as a customer care specialist. My salary here is just enough to support my family. Deep in me, I definitely would want to continue my nursing career. But what can I do?.. I shoulder all the expenses now.. Food.. electricity.. water.. house rent.. as in all the expenses.. My current salary is just enough.. I cannot afford working in a hospital with just half the salary I have now.. To think that there is a very tight competition now...

What to do, what's next? Please help...
Hi, you know I am getting even more confused. huhu. I actually have a very big problem now that giving up my job is really hard to do. But I really would love to work in hospitals if given the chance. Yes, I am paid here. Raging from 12 to 14k. I know if I work in hospitals, this salary will be reduced even more that half. Worse, no salary at all. Please pray for me. I am facing a very big challenge in life now. Thank you!

What to do, what's next? Please help...
Hi guys! I am new borad passer (June2007), as we all know, the result came out after almost 4 months! So, while waiting for the results, I tried to apply on jobs even not related to nursing, since I don't have the license yet. I tried applying in call centers and I am currently working as an agent under non-voice support. Well, I actually find this job good. I think my English skills were developed, and it is my advantage for I am planning to take the IELTS exam some time in the future. Now that I have the results of the Board exam, I am confused as to what to do next? Of course I would love to work in hospital but I've heard it is difficult to apply. And in the other thread I opened another thread (On how to apply to hospitals), I have received replies saying that there are lots of requirements needed (license, IVT trainig..etc) Should I give up my work now to be able to concentrate on my Nursing Career? Whew! I am confused now.. What should I do next guys? Please give me some advise.. Thank you!!!

anyone from up/ust/chinese gen?? i nid ur help
Hi, I am actually not from UP/UST/Chinese Gen... I am just a bit sad because you are asking only from them. I graduated from a not well NLE known school. But I am proud to say that I passed the June 2007 NLE with a satisfying rating. I can understand why you wanted to have reveiw materials from them, I also admire them for having really really good grades. But I can say that it is actually not about the reviewe materials. But of what you have learned during your four years of study. Just study by heart, and you will surely do great! Good luck to you! I know how you feel now... Just keep on praying. =)

Question of new RN;..Advise pls!
Hi! Just like you,I am a newly graduate of nursing and passed the NLE last June 2007. I am working in a call center now. Working here isn't actually a bad idea at all. Thou I also agree to the others who prefer not to work here. I can say that I gained an advantage since I worked in this company. There are trainings for English grammar which I think are very helpful when I take the IELTS exam. Aside of course from the the monthly income I am getting while waiting for my license.. Just want to share yu my experience. =) Good luck to us!!! God Bless!

inquiry!!re:medical exam before embassy interview
Hi everyone! I read the concerns of others who are worried about their medical exams...I'm just curios, is the medical exam a full Physical Exam? Like there are procedures that you need to take off your clothes and expose somesensitive parts? Also, I know someone who has a hemorrhoids. She hasn't gone to any hospital to have a check up. She'sasking me if that would be a problem and could possibly prevent her from working abroad? Anyone knows the answer? Please help! Thanks!
