  1. National kidney transplant institute

@ Tobby_Walter: Yeah, that might be the case. And I can't blame them since they are only protecting their trainees as well. Needle-prick would be very common to NKTI so I guess it's best to be immune to Hepa B. Anyway, I got my results yesterday and ...
  2. @ jessnextdoor: May I know what your board rating is? That is, if you don't mind telling it. It might be the reason why they were very accomodating to you and accepted your application on the spot. Maybe they have a policy that if you have an average...
  3. National kidney transplant institute

@ 0628: Hi! I just registered for the BST program at NKTI. I have submitted all the requirements including the chest x-ray and hepa b surface antigen...however, they asked me to get a hepa b surface antibody(titer). Did you also submit that or just t...
  4. @ mickeeey: I think most of the nurses here in the Philippines have online resumes in jobstreet, jobsdb, etc. That's why they fall for the said email. Yesterday, they texted me regarding my payment. They told me that I have until 5pm to pay for the a...
  5. Wow! And recently I received an email with the EXACT MESSAGE stating that they are HCA Hospitals HCA Recruitment! To make it worse, there really IS an existing website which could really fool you. (It almost fooled me and I almost paid the 3000 php!)...
  6. I received an email last February 23, 2009 from HCA recruitment saying that I am SELECTED for the position of a STAFF NURSE/CAREGIVER for London. I want to verify if this is legitimate since I don't want to waste my P3000 if it's just a scam. Here is...
  7. DeltaCare USA

Don't sign anything if you don't have an idea about the agency. Agencies that state "WE ARE NOT AFFECTED BY RETROGRESSION" are suspicious. And you might as well read articles about Sentosa 27, just to get an idea of what I'm talking about. For now, i...
  8. ielts or NCLEX first?

Based on my experience, you should take NCLEX first, because it is more difficult - which would require you more time to review. IELTS only has a 2-year validity and it might expire while you're reviewing/waiting for your eligibility/waiting for CGFN...
  9. Nurses who work in call centers

Hi! I worked in a call center twice now and I handled medical accounts - insurance accounts specifically. They noticed in my resume that I am a BSN graduate (before I was licensed) so they placed me in a medical account. First is from Teletech in Cai...
  10. how do you answer job interviews?

Hi there, I just submitted my resume along with my other requirements at Capitol Medical Center this morning. I am worried since I stated in my resume that I am an NCLEX and IELTS passer. (Yeah, what a dumb thing to do!) Do you think they would even ...
  11. sentosa recruitment

Yeah, they are going to conduct a seminar on December 2 in Makati. I am going to attend, but after I read the article regarding Sentosa 27, (Just google it or search it here in allnurses) I think I won't sign any papers that they are going to present...
  12. IELTS expiration

Question again, what if my IELTS will expire on April 2009 and I applied for Visascreen October 2008, should I take another IELTS exam if CGFNS has not issued me a visascreen by May 2009 onwards? Or do I have to wait until my visascreen application e...
  13. passport & ATT

Just provide another valid ID with your signature together with your passport. Your PRC license or driver's license will do. =)
  14. requirements for Capitol Medical Center

Are all of these photocopies or the original ones? If these were the original, how can I submit two NBI's at the same time? I also need to submit an NBI at another hospital...
  15. vluna any1?

I see, so that's the reason why they have qualifying and competency exams. I think I'd rather pay and have a greater chance to be absorbed than to not pay and have no chance to be absorbed at all...
  16. passport & ATT

^ With your case, you should bring another valid ID. Your PRC license is enough. =)
  17. vluna any1?

I think I won't try for V.Luna anymore. Question, does this 6 month-TRAINING count as your nursing experience?
  18. passport & ATT

^ Can you continue to sign your whole name on your passport? I think it might be a problem in the future since when you get your license, your passport is the one they are going to use for identification purposes. But for the NCLEX exam at the Triden...
  19. vluna any1?

Hi guys, I don't think it ends in November 17 only. Check out this link: http://akosiangelica.multiply.com/journal/item/32/RN_residency_for_AFPMC_V._Luna_General_Hospital I am also interested so I researched for it. =)
  20. passport & ATT

I took the exam last October 14 and I used the green passport. Remove the plastic cover of your passport. They hate passports with plastic cover. =) Make sure that you have your signature in your passport.
  21. No job in nursing in the Philippines, what to do?

Hi Sheena! While reading your first post, I thought I was reading my story! I also worked in a call center (twice) - both because of the SAME reason, while waiting for the exam results. I passed NLE, NCLEX and IELTS now and am currently looking for a...
  22. Hmmm, I really can't relate here, I got a 7 in writing and 6.5 in reading but I managed to have an 8 for the rest so I still passed. I think it's the overall score and the speaking part that they are particular. Did getting a 6.5 in writing made you...
  23. Ielts review center

Cambridge books are very nice - it comes with a CD too! You can actually read it in less than 5 days and be ready for the exam. I can't recommend any review center which offers only 5 days. Sorry.
  24. Ielts review center

If you passed it already, then you don't need a review center. (Just my 2 cents) You just have to recall what you reviewed..err...3 years ago! ^___^ Anyway, try KAPLAN, they spend a month for a review of all 4 subjects.
  25. Visa screen and FL NCLEX without SSN

Please disregard my previous post. This has already been answered. Sorry for that.
