Congratulations! I didn't receive any email from them... yet. I'll still hold on to hope. Did any of your status change on the website?
  5. I currently hold an MBA w/ a concentration in Healthcare Administration and will be pursuing a BSN (via an accelerated nursing program). I plan on starting out doing beside nursing but I hope to quickly move to the managerial side of healthcare. Most administrative positions in healthcare require the advanced degree AND clinical experience.

Thanks. I hope you get the scholarship also... I could really use the funds... if you hear anything or if anything changes in your status on their website, please let me know. I'll do the same.... let's just say a prayer :)
  7. Marmo: I would like to discuss the program with you. How can I get in contact with you?

Has anyone applied to and heard from HRSA yet this year (2007) on the Nursing Scholarship Program? I have applied and have met all the criteria including the 0 EFC. I also subitted and confirmed submission of supplemental documents. If anyone has any information, please provide. Thanks
  9. Maisy, I took all my prereq courses at CCM and will be attending UMDNJ's accelerated BSN program this Fall (2007). One of my choices for employement following graduation is St. Barnabas. Ideally I would like to work in the ER. How do you like it? Is it good for new grads?
  10. nu-student: I'll be starting in the fall as well. I'm sure I'll meet you at orientation on Friday the 17th.
  11. I will be beginning the A-BSN program this September and just wanted to know what I needed as far as materials are concerned, for clinicals. Also, what can I expect the first semester to be like? Will I be able to work part time? How many days a week will I be in class/lab/clinicals?
  12. Congrats! Kendra... !!!!
  13. :monkeydance: :monkeydance: :monkeydance: !umdnj! all day!!!!!! :balloons: :yelclap:

  15. Kare: Good Luck!!! Everything will happen when its supposed to happen. Let Go & Let GOD! Thats my motto.
  16. Is Mayra aware that you are currently enrolled in the Microbiology class? If so, they may just be waiting to see how you perform in the class as that is one the the important science classes. You could attempt to get from your professor a letter of good standing. On another note, have you applied anywhere else as a backup?
  17. you can try calling or emailing mayra mallanaro (sp) directly.
  18. Thanks, decartes. Any advice on the program? professors? classes? I plan on working PT @ a hospital once I start.
  19. Does that mean then, they won't be expecting any $$$$ up front besides the $100 tuition deposit?
  20. I haven't received any Financial Aid paperwork. I'm anxious to know if I was approved for any loans/grants/any financial aid.
  21. I'm not sure. A couple of months back I spoke with a recruiter and she told me that the "decision-maiking" committee meets on the first of every month and they send out x-amount of acceptance letts. You could always do a stus check. There is a link on the UMDNJ website.
  22. Where you applying for the Fall 2007 semester?
  23. I received my acceptance on the 22nd.
  24. hello all: i just joined the forum and i recently got my acceptance letter to umdnj- accelerated bsn program for fall 2007 !!! i'm very excited and nervous! i can't wait to see what a future in nursing hold for me. :balloons:
