CA board denying application for license by nclex exam, appeal? or stipulate?
My thinking would be that the BON can only consider the information in front of them. Meaning, Yes the first time you applied you had a DUI conviction on your record. But, when you had your appeal the DUI is no longer on your record. I don't think it would hurt to try and get the DUI expunged off you record and yes it is possible an as adult to get a DUI expunged of you record.

facebook "stalking" as a nurse?
My friend had situation with one of the residents sons. He told here that he goggled he and found out that she had just bought a house and what her address was. I think that would creep me out if someone did that to me. Maybe we should have our first name and title and maybe some sort of identification number associated with our license. That way if its a problem those three piece of info would be able to identify us.

Where are the jobs?
Well....I live in NE ohio and the main reason I'm moving is to get away from all the snow. I want to move south, preferably. But the closer I get to graduation I'm considering other options.

Where are the jobs?
Where is the best place for new grad nurses? I graduate in May with a BSN and I want to move. I read a lot about how hard it is for new grads to find employment. Where are the jobs at? Whats a good place to move to?

schools in NE Ohio? for RN
As far as LPN program I hear that Central School of Practical Nursing has a pretty good program. The problem is the credit you earn there will not transfer to another school. So if you decide the get a ADN or BSN you would have to start from the beginning. There is a wait for the program at Tri c but, you have prerequisites before you start the program so by the time you finish those class you probably can apply for the nursing program and get in. The good thing about Tri-C is that I think they pretty much let everyone in so you can work on your GPA while taking your prereqs. Lakeland Community college also has an RN program. I know someone who is in it now an she likes it so far. Kent State has a satellite campus in Twinsburg and they offer an ADN.

how many nurses did not like being a CNA?
I was having a conversation with a co-worker and she is in nursing school but she hates being a CNA. Do you think she will make it as a nurse?

16HR shifts
I currently work in a LTC facility and I work 2 16hr shifts per week on Saturday and Sunday. I just spoke with a freind of mine who works in a hospital on a weekender program and she works 2 12hr shifts every weekend. She also gets paid for 36hrs and is considered full time. I'm thinking about working at a hospital now because these 16hr shifts are killing me. What does a CNA do at a hospital? Does any one else work 16hr shifts?

shifts?
does the ltc facility you work at offer 4 or 6 hour shifts?

Does patient need to know the diagnosis?
I kind of have personal experence with this. My grandfather was diagnosed with leukemia we decided not to tell him because we felt like he would give up. At the time of hi diagnoses he was 86 and had already gone through prostate cancer and treatment, the doctors felt his body was not strong enough to go through any type of treatment. We feel like we made the best descion for him at that time.

Who Is Your Mentor?
Not just in your nursing career but in life. Who is the one person who has mentored or motivated you to do better in life. Who is the one person you can count on to always give you words of encouragement or who can give you an optimistic outlook on things. And what do you do if you don't have anyone like that?
