pt would be npo if they have gi bleed, so reason for ngt would be for low intermittent suction to decompress the stomach. dubhoff wouldnt do anything as it's lumen is too small for suction.

ffp can free flow with blood transfusion tubing.. ffp is a quick transfusion to begin with. it's not like prbc where it's supposed to be over 3 hours. open the tubing wide and let it flow in around 30 min (this is for adults)

in my experience, pacu nurses are critical care nurses, esp if you are working in a large city hospital. i work in ICU and we frequently have ICU overflow in our PACU. They can manage everything we can.

i had to do journal assigns for my clinicals too....but i didnt need to refer to websites. it simply was about my clinicals....my pt's, my duties as a SN, how my pt's responded to me, how i like my clincials....etc.

a small class might have it's benfits...like getting to know your prof's and you not just being a name in a class..but what is more important is the percentage of ppl that pass the NCLEX on the first time.. good luck and congrats!
