  1. My situation and my thoughts exactly!!!
  2. The Georgia BON requires licensure within 3 years of graduation and a waiting period of 90 days between attempts to pass the NCLEX. To reestablish eligibility, an applicant would have to reenroll and graduate from an approved nursing program...so a limitation of sorts
  3. Not xenophobic or paranoid. I know too many nurses who have had difficulty finding jobs to ever have believed there is/was a nursing shortage. It's interesting how the 'shortage' began to peak as salaries began to climb...(though I know some will have it that salaries went up in response to the shortage).
  4. alizae06 I'm seeing potential employers asking for grades too. Here in Metro Atlanta many hospitals are asking for nursing school transcripts along with reference letters and resumes.
  5. WeeBaby..thank you for taking the time to share your first year experience. I was very touched and finished reading your post with tears in my eyes. Monday is my first day of nursing school after a 21 year career in another health field. I know I will think of your encouraging and reaffirming words often over the next couple of years.
