Hello, do not feel wasted you have your certificate and that will hold you in good stead later down the line; you need to rest so that all will go well and you will have a healhy baby-- please just take one day at a time this experience in a way is good it makes you a better understanding person in your outlook;you have done nothing wrong and you are not alone in such a situation; you want to have a healthy baby so enjoy the rest now and think of work when you are in better health to cope.I wish you well with everything.

My Dear Nurse, you are not alone in your thinking; i refer to the year 1963 as a student there was no work other than teaching or nursing i disliked both, but i had to do something so i decided to study nursing in England; yes i found it hard but i had to support myself i stood with it and i grew to like it and i later specialise in Psyciatry which i loved as i could help persons with their problems and later did counselling; i would say hang in there; if you go in to Psychiatry---- that in itself teaches you to know yourself a bit more; just try it. Iwish you luck wih your pregnancy--- and stop feeling sorry for yourself. It would be nice to know later what path you have taken.My heart go out to you.

Definitely, this nurse should be spoken to by the authorities, suspended with a knowledge should she return to work, to take courses which will enable her to know what she is about next time.

.Wuld you call in sick because you did not get any sleep. No i would not; that kind of behaviour is not ethical; and this goes for any profession or non professional employment.One should show more value for ones work. I do not want to hurt anyone but what i have found today, that many young people of today do not regard their work and this says quite a lot for this "system" in which we are caught up in. One could make up through break time; but of course donot make it a habit. :welcome:

RE: Shooting and Mental Health. Yes Snowfreeze i do agree USA should get it's act together where mental nursing is concerned; now the latest is you have the Police using Tasters to stun individiduals who presumably are mentally ill. I wounder will they do such to an animal that has gone berserk?

My reply to Earth CHILD1130 I THOROUGHLY agree with you a100% you are truly a PSY;Nurse as you seem to understand the situation.With your System, something needs to be done IN USA to have patients with mental Issues Sectioned so that they could be treated for the beterment of themselves and Society. Noone has replied stating why are they not Psychiatric Nurses involved along with Counsellors to help in the USA. I have never been there but of all coming out of the country I personally believe , that Psy: Nurses could help with certain problems. Put them on the market. MESSAGE:RE---SHOOTING/MENTAL HEALTH.

RE: Shootings and Mental Health On a general scale--USA do not advertise for Psy: Nurses-correct me if i am wrong.For the amount of hostage taking and many more mental issues which need Psy: nurses; the police alone cannot deal with such matters only, you need Psychiatrist, Mental Nurses ,who could work within the communities----this is within the whole country.They should be follow up from all schools leading to uiversities and all information should show the type of human being you are dealing you are dealing with.Then on interviews or universities on your panel, have present, The Community Nurse, the or A Psychicologist along withe the rest of the panel.You now have to look at Safety for everyone within the environment of the whole System. May I ask this question-- Why do all Americas need a gun? why are people so scared; what happened way back then to cause such. All persons who carry a gun, should carry information about themselves to say exactly what they are protecting.
