  4. Great advice. I spoke with others and something that has helped me a lot is to STOP trying to read everything. I was told to take the powerpoint presentations and listen and highlight in my book the section the instructor is going over. Then go home and read the highlighted sections and study for understanding.
  5. I have heard getting into Georgia School were hard. I do agree about Georgia Baptist, they do seem to be more understanding. I have applied to a school in Phenix AL, and I will have to drive 1.5 hours but I can't wait until my lucky number comes up in Georgia. Actually, I atteneding Nursing school over 13 years ago in N.C. and had to stop my grade in my last class was a D and that is stopping me now 13 years later. I can't find anyone but Georgia Baptist that says you can try. So now I am just taking classes to bring up my GPA and hopefully in the fall of next year I will be ready. Good luck
  6. Well I applied the GPC and was accepted but now come to find out, the school of nursing will not consider me b/c I was a previously went to school in N.C. and rec. a "D" in one of my nursing classes (which by the way are not transferable anyway). But b/c of that the program will not look at me at all. I am thinking of going now for dental hyg. but before i say NO to my life long dream I am trying macon state and gordan college. :-(
  7. oh my goodness, all the neg. about GPC. I am scared now. I see a lot of the comments are farely old in date. Anyone have any new info to report on GPC
  8. Congrats, I applied to Georgia Baptist and GPC. I am transferring in, however, I haven't been in school in over 13 years. I really hope I am able to get into school and get my feet wet. Georgia Baptist claimed not to get my transcripts. Did you guys get in on the first try?
  9. I am studing for the NET and the first part of the study guide is over whelming. I haven't been in school in over 13 years and haven't taken english in over 15 years. The reading about all the rules are taking me for a hoop and I pray I will do well
