  1. I am researching online RN to BSN programs and Liberty University is high on my list. I would love a bit more info from someone who is a current student-cost, amission requirments, how long to complete the program, time requirements (will I be able to work while in school?), is this a completely online program? I know thats alot of questions-I just submitted a request for information to LU but am very interested in any info that you can share. Best of luck to you!!!!
  2. Hello all, I am considering Texas Tech RN to BSN...does anyone know: Can this program be done completely online? If clinicals are required, can they be done close to home? Any mandatory appearances required at Texas Tech? Thank you for any info --
  3. I am so happy that you found your way out. I am inspired by your journey. I found several OA meetings in my area, and am going to go to a meeting this Saturday. My best efforts at dieting have failed miserably....I know that addressing the real issue-food addiction, not weight loss- will be what saves me, too. I'll bet that I have read close to one hundred diet related books, and not one has come even close to the insight of "Food Addiction, The Body Knows". Every single sentence speaks to some part of me that has been lost for a long time. Thank you- you have helped me take the first step in saving myself, too.
  4. Blackcat99, I have been reading the book that you recommended, " Food Addiction, The Body Knows", I am really feeling HOPE! I am wondering, if this is okay to ask, did you use the food program suggested in the book? I know that I am really sensitive to carbs and am wondering if that would be too many for me....
  5. Thank you-much appreciated. I am inspired by your success!
  6. After reading your post, I ordered the book that you recommended and have just begun to read it. Wow...this book really hits home, amazing. It looks like there are only 2 FAA meetings in my state (WA), the nearest FAA chapter is 55 miles away...but I am going to check into OA in my area. I know that this approach to weight loss is the real answer for me. Thanks so much for your post.

Hope all goes well with that bite-yeeouch! I am considering an RN position in LTC with the same hours as yours- two 16 hour shifts....any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated (I have worked in acute care for a year, will be new to LTC)...
  8. Wow..I am having the same issues where I work. I know that others give all morning meds (times ranging from 0730-0900) at the same time while crossing off administration times as if they were given at the correct times. This does allow for more time for charting and, hopefully, avoiding overtime-which is ANOTHER bag of worms- but I do not think that is ethical and I can not give meds this way.
  9. Hello, I am considering a change and would greatly appreciate any advice or insights that I could consider while making my decision. I have been an RN for 1 year, working in MedSurg acute care. Although there is much that I do find rewarding, there is much that I do not like about the hospital setting. I really enjoyed the limited time (clinicals for 1 quarter) spent in nursing school at LTC, and I have always LOVED spending time with the geriatric population. I would love to work in an environment that would enable me to get to know those that I take care of. I know that LTC is a fast paced environment with challenges that are often under-rated. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!!
