  1. I took my NCLEX-LPN exam in June. All I studied from was a Saunders CD. I did 100 questions a day for about a week and I did fine. I thought the CD was really helpful. Best of luck!
  2. JillyT replied to gods's topic in MICU, SICU
I really like this IV med book. It also comes in a PDA version. http://www.us.elsevierhealth.com/product.jsp?isbn=9780323045520
  3. A&P 3 is the prerequisite for Micro at my school. I think it helped a little being able to understand physiology a bit before delving into the microscopic world. So...I would take A&P first. :paw:
  4. I've had amazing success with Oxy-Clean. It's gotten stains out that have lingered for years. http://www.ascleanedontv.com/oxyclean.html
  5. Congratulations!!!! Woohoo!!! I got on LBCC's alternate list, but I got accepted to Lane :-D Best of luck!!
  6. Hi Cindy, Do you know when LBCC's letters are expected to be sent? I'm also applying to Lane and Umpqua. I should be getting my Lane letter tomorrow (fingers crossed...I live in Eugene). Best of luck to you! ~Jill
  7. I had my third colonoscopy last Fall. The first two used the (IMO) horrific, most foul-tasting and explosive diarrhea causing Fleets Phospho-Soda. The first time, the doctor told me to only use water to mix with. After the initial PM dose, I honestly didn't know how I'd be able to get up at 4am and down the other half without barfing it back up. ICK! Somehow I did it. Second time, they at least let me mix lemonade with it...much better, but still gross. Last Fall though, was by far the least unpleasant and painful. I did a PM and AM mix of Miralax and Gatorade. The doc also prescribed Magnesium Citrate (just in case), but it was not necessary. I didn't keep my instructions, but I found this form on the net that seems to have similar instructions. Miralax bowel prep: http://www.austingastro.com/forms/ central/MiralaxGatoradeIce_c.pdf I can't wait for the "camera technology" to become more readily used...where you swallow a tiny camera instead of the fun, turn on your side and let me stick this tubing up your back door routine. camera info: http://www.umich.edu/~urecord/0304/Aug16_04/23.shtml
  8. This is an awesome site!! Thanks so much for posting it. I forwarded it to all of my school friends.
  9. In addition to ebay and half.com, I've also had luck with ecampus.com.
  10. One in four people has genital herpes -- and most don't even know it.
  11. I am a prenursing student and am not sure of the difference between scrubbing and circulating nurses. Can someone please explain? Thanks! :-D
