  1. yes i took them actually last yr. i graduate this week, i think they were great practice. i just took an ATI predictor test......i got an 85% chance of passing nclex on the first try......i hope its right, lol!!!
  2. hello, we have ati throught our program too. they give us books on every topic we are on(i'm currently in peds)to practice and read, then we get tested. if we do not get a certain percent we have to remediate...and we cannot advance to the next semester if we do not pass!
  3. i just think football. just picture the quaterback......green 18, blue 22...hike!! the other ones are easier to remember with 2 already memorized.
  4. i decided to become a nurse the day i delivered my son. my best friend is an er nurse and i told her about the excellent care i recieved in l &d and i was inspired by the compassion of my nurse(she even stayed past her shift to get me settled in recovery), and i told her i wanted to be a nurse(maybe even a l&d nurse)she told me i was crazy, it was just my hormones......anyway my son was born in jan i started pre reqs that may--now i'm a junior in an rn program....hoping to specialize in peds!!!!
  5. i think this is blown way out of proportion. i myself was a "non certified ma" i was kinda offended when i read this post!!!:flamesonb I DID go to medical assistant school(graduated top in class) and worked in a couple of practices(both of which are associated with major hospitals)when i graduated we had to pass a board type test(just to graduate--it was not a certification)when i went for my 1st job--it WAS NOT required to be "certified" however i had an opportunity to get my certification--so i did. the requirements were an amount of venipuncture sticks and a test. i still work with girls who are not certified--but they can draw blood and handle pts better than those who are certified. for some offices it is not a requirement, and is merely a title for those who have it--it means nothing as far as quality pt care! as far as her misleading statements at first...well...thats another story! so be careful how you judge others---especially when you dont know the whole story:nono: . now 10 years later as an MA--i'm a RN nursing student and my experience although not all of it while i was "certified" has been beneficial!
