I am actually in a similar situation as well. Although I am a military spouse, starting grad school at UMD and licensed in a compact state. I have been trying to get an answer from MD BON but haven't been able to get in touch with them. Every other state we have moved to I have maintained my license and did not get a license in those states since we maintain NH as our home of record and vote, register cars, hold drivers licenses there, etc. I have to work more on getting an answer to make sure it is the same here in Maryland. Are you licensed in a compact state? What are you going to grad school for?

It gives a deadline of 14 calendar days and my letter is dated 4/25. Hopefully people that decline will let them know ASAP. If I hear anything that might be of value in figuring it out I will let you know!

Do they give you a number? I am sure they admit at least a few wait listed individuals. Stay positive and keep us updated!

Have you heard anything babyrn? It seems like notifications spanned over a week or so with admissions decisions in previous threads. Thinking of you!

I agree with wkirn. I felt ok leaving the interview but not great, I think that's fairly normal. Hoping you hear good news soon.

Check online, mine finally updated today! Admit institution! I am so excited! Hoping you all hear the same too!!

I also noticed previous years that the NP program seemed to be the last notified and it looked like late April/early march for 2011 and 2012. I just want to know too, one way or the other.

Anybody hear anything? I'm still committee ready .

I'm still hoping they haven't sent decisions out, especially since wkirn said they would have them out by Wednesday, so I am still hopeful. I actually didn't apply anywhere else. We just moved to the area so I will be applying to more schools next year if I don't get in this year. How about you? Did you apply anywhere else?

I also applied for the part time program too. It is discouraging to keep checking with no change, but I am trying not to let that get me down. Hoping we are part of the 20 and that we will hear today. Fingers crossed! I will post as soon as I hear something too!

I estimated they interviewed about 36 based on the interview schedule (and my own calculations :). When I emailed admissions Monday they said "they hope to begin getting decisions out this week" so I feel like it is too early to get discouraged! Let's stay positive!

I am waiting as well to hear, my status still says committee ready too. I did have an interview on March 27th and at the time they said mid-April we should find out. When I emailed admissions on Monday they said they hoped to get letters out this week. If anyone has a status change please update! The waiting is awful!

Do you think testing alone would help? When I was in school students got waivers (i want to say from their doctors) and were able to go to another classroom to take exams.

I think it went well. I think there is always something that you think later would have been a better response to a question :) I guess we should know by mid-April, so keeping my fingers crossed. Did you apply anywhere else?

Thanks! They gave me the choice of two dates, March 27 and April 3rd, and I chose the 27th. I hope you get some good news soon!

I received an email on the 14th to set up an interview. Did you hear anything since your post?

When I worked for a rehab it was also our policy to call and get the admission diagnosis, I think it is pretty common.

I usually received a day at each location. It wasn't bad, and I usually went to the same facilities frequently so then I felt more comfortable the more I was there. Personally I prefer to be at one place, but it gave me a job for awhile and it may have helped my resume. My husband is military too, I hate the application process and having to do it so frequently

It took me a TON of applications to finally get an interview, I was so frustrated too. I started off with Maxim staffing agency to just work for a bit and then finally started getting some interviews with local hospitals, eventually getting a job. Keep trying, it's definitely not easy, but be persistent.

Honestly, it depends how much you want to be a nurse. There is probably much more competition than what you initially thought, but if truly want to be a nurse and have the dedication, then I would place money on your success.
