NYU Accelerated Program
HI, Would you mind telling me what the pre-reqs were for Adelphi and how long the Accelerated program is? I can't get anyone to talk about this and its not on the website.

Accelerated Nursing Programs
HI, I heard about NYU's acceptance rate being about 35%. Does anyone know what it is for Pace? Downstate?

SUNY Downstate's Accelerated Nursing Program
Katie - I was so glad to read your post. I am considering applying for next summer. Btw- my name is also Katey. I was wondering how is was to get in. did you have to have a high College GPA or was more emphasis given to the pre-reqs in particular?

New Rochelle College of Nursing - Anyone know about this school?
tab65- yes, their accelerated program is for someone who has a BAch already. but you know what? Since non-medical bachs usually don't have the pre-reqs it turns out to be the same thing as transferring in after two years of undergrad work -- if not longer.

Pace vs. NYU vs. CNR
thanks for the info folks, NYU seems like the best choice for me except they are such a big program i don't just want to be a number. I feel like i'd have a better chance being accepted at CNR. I am definitely going to apply to both. I found out today that you need to have taken the GRE or GMAT to apply to the accelerated BSN at Pace. what a drag.

Where Should I go?
I agree with Subee. They have tons of scholarships because they need numbers. I was reading that the average person at a private catholic college pays $2-4000 in tuition because the grants are so good. borrow the rest. the pay will be worth it. Besides LOTS of hospitals will pay back some of your loans if you agree to work for them for a few years upon graduation. You should talk with the admissions officers at colleges you may be interested in. Don't be afraid -- its only a conversation!!

Any recommendations for NYC Hospital for New Grad?

Where Should I go?
HI, I graduated from Hunter a few years ago with a different degree, yet know quite a few people in the nursing program. Getting into the program itself from the General pool of Hunter people is quite difficult. They didn't really show any preferential treatment to their own student body. Also since they consider themselves the "flagship nursing program for Cuny" they aren't very friendly. This is all second hand, mind you. ARe you not interested in the private schools? A little more tuition but you'll get more attention and definitely make that money back in your salary upon graduation.

New Rochelle College of Nursing - Anyone know about this school?
they have an accelerated portion which is 18 months.

Empire State, Medgar Evers, Suny Downstate
chaya , you may not need to finish up at Empire. you can probably transfer in somewhere if you have tons of credits already. check out Mounts St Vincent's program in midtown.

Accelerated BSN in NY?
hi, I read your post on Dominican College. I would go for the ABSN. Can you tell me how the commute is? The faculty? And what about your job prospects?

College of Mount Saint Vincent
REally??? I heard from Donna that they take people who have done their pre-reqs anywhere. This sucks. They are one of the top schools i'm looking at. Why can't i get a straight answer from any of these professionals?!

I am interested in this school also, for the BSN. I would love to have any feedback about the program.
