  1. You didn't get your score after you were done taking the exam? I got mine right away.
  2. Hi, NO not at all. Honestly, everything that I saw on my exam IS in the TEAS V study manual. Just study the manual and you will do good! It's not "hard"...as long as you study the manual and keep testing yourself online through quizes, you will pass. Don't panick, like I did at first..stay focused, do the online ATI exams A & B if you can, do the practice exams on the study manual, buy the McGraw TEAS study guide as well or download it from here on this site, and thats all you need, really!
  3. I take my exam this friday too. We can do this. Keep studying!
  4. and I also bombed the practice test too (A). I wish they didn't charge so much for just 2 exams though. I could't even go back and review the questions I had gotten wrong after I ended the exam. I only got to see my score. I don't know why they do that, so unfair and not cool.lol. 35 bucks for that.
  5. Sending good vibes to you & if you've been studying I"m sure you will do just fine. I take mine March 11th. If we want this bad enough, we CAN DO IT, goo luck to you this thursday!
  6. Thank you on eagles wings. I'm trying & thank you for all the tips/insight. I'm begining to feel overwhelmed now though and it's count down time. The closer I get to March 11 the more anxiety i get. Seems like everyone keeps telling me it's VERY hard & to study Earth Science as well. So, i've been also searching for earth science stuff & found a few old books I have had from previous classes. I need a 62% to pass & offically enter the RN program. Also, I did horrible on the practice A practice exam online (57%- I totally panicked becasue I had no idea what to expect and couldn't figure out some stuff on the ATI website & I freaked when I saw the clock ticking. I also ended up getting some common sense questions wrong..lol) (I went back the next day and did the 2nd (A) test and got a 73%)and I'm going to order the B this week and see how well I do now that I know what to expect from ATIs settings, and of course studied for a few months. Good luck to everyone & congrats to those who have taken it and passed this nasty TEAS V exam.lol.
  7. and the English & Reading..was that like the study guide? I'm not to worried about the Math & Science..math is my favorite subject and science, well, it's either I know it or I don't. So, I"m focusing on English & Reading.
  8. on ealges wings.. did you think the study guide V & the online practice tests were enough to study with? I mean, is that all you think we need to do well on the exam? i take mine in 2 weeks.
  9. You might want to hurry up and apply since so many over hundreds are applying...! Go to the copper mountain college website and look at the NEW Policy in the RN section..it has everything and questions answered that will be helpful to you! They use the Chancellor Test Success tool thingy...(i dont have the name correctly) but it says on the RN stuff the new policy..
  10. Yea i heard the same thing but when i asked my pharmacology teacher (a few weeks ago) who teaches the LVN class, she said she only knew of 1 person on the list... Yes i did apply, I was at the post office *waiting* for them to open. I screwed up though on something though my evenloped was stamped at 7:31AM, but I'm hoping my application was still one of the first 36..because from what i heard today was that as soon as they get the 36 qualified (meeting the requirment), they are not accepting anymore applications..a few people I spoke of today didn't provide proof they have GED or High School Diploma or an AA (diploma) either one but on the site it says its required (one of those)..so maybe they will get knocked off the list since they didn't include all paperwork! Good Luck to you Michelle, there is always the LVN if one of us doesn't get in! Carmen
  11. I asked about how many are on the waiting list and it was mentioned by a Nursing Prof that there were only 1 person on the waiting list from last year. My fellow classmates said 14 as well, but since the new policy was implemented, maybe of those 14 didnt make the cut? I am curious myself though.
  12. At copper mountain college last year over 200 people applied so they say. If you are going to send in your application you better hurry up cuz 10 people were inline early oct 1 mailing out their applications ..VERY early. I left at 6:30am and got my envelope stamped at :7:31AM. I can guarantee you tons of people applied Oct1 with the earliest time stamp. They are only accepting 24 for the program and 8 for waiting list. You also have to have the score of 70 on the Chanellors rating school thingy....
  13. No I didn't get into the LVN because I didn't know I needed Pharmacology as a pre-requirement & suggested Medical Terminology. I did Terminolgoy in the summer and doing Pharmacology right now. So by the time I apply for the LVN, I will have everything I need this time. Also, I applied for the Rn today..my time on the application was 7:30am so I'm happy about that..at least it will be looked at. I heard from some of the ladies this morning as we were waiting at the post office, that over 200 people applied last year to the RN program. This Oct, they are expecting it to double! YESSSS, not easy getting into this program now. They only accept 36 of those. Very Competitive now, regards of what the lady at the desk tells you!lol.
  14. The lady at the office was the one who suggested I apply for the LVN when my RN application didn't get accepted. So, I scrambled to get my High School transcripts from Oregon so I could apply before the march 31 deadline. So, I'm assuming it doesn't matter if you apply for both... as I did, but got turned down for the RN. You have one day left girly, March 31 is the deadline for the applications to be turned in. Program starts June 2010. Since I just turned my in on the 23rd, I have a feeling I didn't get in because alot may have applied and mine wasn't turned in earlier, but hey, at least I tried and I'll be full force next year..lol. One thing that I think may have put me in a disadvantage for the RN is that I was using my San Diego address as I wasn't moved here yet. I think they tend to favor those within Morongo Basin than those out of towners..(though just my speculation).. because if it the RN was "easy" or quick to get in, why was my application turned down? You know what I mean, grades are good, I had histroy with Copper Mountain...I sent my RN application in the same day they accepted applications..I mean it made no sense to me at all..... So, I'm thinking all the ones who were living here probably got priority over me... who knows though, I'll never know. Anyways, next october is coming and I'm armed..lol... I live here now so next time I'll want a better explanation than just a you were not accepted...lol. Good Luck girlie.. Carmen
