ons core curriculum.. they also have a book of questions and answers with rationale. also can get practice questions from the oncc website for a fee

traffic in this area is pretty bad..most people work work at nih use the metro as parking is pretty limited and fulls up fast in the morning. usajobs.gov is the best way to apply

i work at nih... i am a new graduate. its definitely a different kind of hospital...its all about research. we do have 12hr shifts, but full time is 40hrs/wk. benefits are really great!

i am a new grad too..4 months out, just got off orientation believe me in school we had no practice with IV stuff ! keep practicing the more you do it the better you will get!! :)

hi everyone, i am a catholic u grad. i was a transfer student so it was a little rough transferring credits and transitioning into the program ... the nursing school was also going through major adminstrative changes at that time so it was definitely a frustrating experience. catholic is a 4 yr program where u take your pre-reqs and nursing courses all together. now things have settled down...and i have heard its a much smoother transition into the program. many students here are 2nd degree students that fast track through the summer. you also have to take extra religion and philo courses..compared to other schools in the area.

sorry i mean kaplan DOES NOT review nursing content...

just some advice... kaplan does review nursing content in class. you get a course book with assigned readings and each class you go over nclex type questions. if you need more help on content i would look for a class reviews content and questions. good luck! :)

hi moms2bears :) i am using the kaplan online materials also.. how did you feel question trainer 7 compares to the nclex? i just spent 3 hours working through it and scored a 61 .. i have been getting mid 60-70's on all the other question trainer sets.

hi there! i took a kaplan review class and i am using the q bank. its really helpful!! you can set it to specific content areas to answer questions on. it also averages all the scores you get on the practice questions so you know how you are doing. i am taking the nclex june 19th!! good luck :) :)

i got a copy of "anatomy of a job search: a nurses's guide to finding and landing the job you want" at the nsna convention. it is a great resource!! it has sample cover letters and resumes as well as interviewing tips!

i just finished a kaplan course...some instructors were horrible!! they read straight from the the kaplan book and never gave good rationales ... just what the book said.. it was really frustrating! i actually scored almost the same on the diagnostic and readiness exam! i've been doing the trainer question sets and i am still in the 60% range

hey everyone, im also a new grad. i sent all my stuff to MBON a few weeks ago... still waiting for my ATT...i was just wondering if anyone has had a problem with the ATT email going to the spam box?? what email sends your ATT? thanks :)

im graduating in may and trying to my maryland license. i can't seem to get in touch with anyone at mbon! i've sent many emails and can't get through to anyone on the automated number.. i am a little confused with the process of applying... i know i need to get fingerprints and passport photos done. but do i need to get the application for license by examination first? thanks in advance!!!

washington hospital center offers a "dream day" for new grads. this allows you to spend time on a unit with a RN to see what the unit is really like. you also can interview for a position on that day.
