  1. I just graduated in December and started working in January 2009. ER has always been my dream job and I thought that this is the road that I should be taking. Now...I'm not so sure. I have major anxiety the night before my shift and dread going to work wondering what am I going to get today. The 12 hour shifts are killing me and now I'm thinking...I need to do something else. I'm not so sure I like it there.
  2. There were girls in my class that cheated. They didn't pass the NCLEX.
  3. Thanks Angie that was very encouraging to know....especially since I am a new grad and only 7 months into my 1st year. It is very discouraging when people give you a lot of flack when you first start and there is one unit clerk that is that way with me too. Thanks Angie!!
  4. I'm already feeling burned out and I started working in January. =0( I work in a hospital setting.
  5. I don't know about you, but I only waited 48 hours. I took mine on a Monday, Wed. knew the results online and by Sat. received my license.
  6. Thanks everyone for your support!!! I'm now working in an ED as an RN and training in a new grad residency program. I haven't been on here for awhile since I've been working so much. Now if I can just keep myself from getting sick while I'm on orientation that would be awesome!!!
  7. I PASSED!!!! OMG!!!! Wohooooo!!!!!
  8. I took my NCLEX this morning and mine shut off at 75 too. I was like, Nooooooooo I need to answer more questions cause I felt like I totally had to guess at all of my questions. I thought to myself, this is it? I did ALL those years of nursing classes and my fate decides for me with 75 questions? Crossing fingers...and not sure I can make it to Wednesday. :banghead:
  9. i Passed My Nclex-pn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg!!! I Passed!!
  10. Thanks Diahni, I'll check Thursday morning. I'm petrified right now. Trying to keep myself busy. I read some of these posts where they waited 3 to 4 weeks before they got their results. Yikes
  11. My nclex pn cost 200.00. Then it was 185.00 for the board of nursing and criminal background check.
  12. I just took my NCLEX this morning. It stopped around 105-108. There were a ton of check all that applies (which I suck at) and follow-ups. YUK! I totally feel like I failed. I swear to God there were drug questions and diseases I've never even heard of or studied in class. Uggh!! So far I've read that most of the people on this thread that had 85 and shut off passed, so now I'm paranoid I failed. It says I can find out in 2 business days, but that would be Thanksgiving. So, I probably won't get my results until Monday.
  13. I dispatched a call one time car vs. semi...head on... the patient (a stripper) was flown to our hospital and she had every bone in her body broken...the only thing that didn't bust was her implants. :rotfl:
  14. Here's another little creepy note. Last semester at the dining table during my clinicals one of the lady's I was talking to looked up and out the window and said, there's a man out there and I looked over and there was no one there. She didn't die like I read with these other stories but it was just kind of creepy. Also, several times there was a door to the building that would open on its own for no reason. I thought that was a little weird, but the staff there was used to it. Merry Christmas everyone!! Have a Happy New Year too!!!:Santa3:
