I guess not...do you know what New York State medicaid is? Obviously not, can you explain to me why someone who is unemployed gets full medical, dental, vision benefits while people with full time jobs have to pay $200 a month for health insurance that sucks? Or worse, working people don't get health insurance at all because their employer does not offer it....I dont have a problem with giving health insurance to people as long as THEY HAVE A JOB and contribute to society...Socialist policies and welfare create laziness and sloth look at the GDP's of socialist countries...LIke I said, if one likes that type of system one can move to say...FRANCE and that individual can pay 55% taxes and get free "preventative" healthcare.

just go to new york, as long as you are jobless you are guaranteed new york state medicaid. you can get full vision, dental and medical benefits, just make sure you dont get that job!!! once you start working for a living you are not entitled to health insurance.

No one hates the rich? Are you sure about that? Its a pretty broad statement. You talk about the Rich getting tax break while the poor guy gets screwed. Actually I know a single woman with 8 kids, she has a 4 bedroom apartment in Manhattan(section 8 housing) that she pays $120 a month for, she does not pay for food because she has government assistance. She had all the furniture in her apartment paid for, it is nice stuff 2.....I think she got like $12,000 back on her taxes...she goes to best buy every weekend and buys DVD's because she has no expenses, only disposable income...of course at the expense of my tax money. Is this what you mean by the rich screwing the poor? Oh you mean class equalization? So like there shouldnt be rich and poor people? Everyhing should be equal? Hasn't that been tried in countries like...oh....CUBA? NORTH KOREA? SOVIET UNION? What do you define as an equal right, are you saying healthcare is an inalienable right under the US constitution? Because Ann, its really "You're Fault" if someone is a criminal or drug addict, failure etc... somehow you didnt help them enough(indirectly) as society on a whole failed them, its never about personal responsibility Ann, its all about blaming everyone else for your own problem and feeling guilty for it when it arises.

Yes - I feel the same way you Space Nurse - I pray for all those who broadcast hate as well - I pray for those who try to force socialism on this great country - I also pray for American citizens that are working hard and have health insurance while the IV drug user with no job has full health, dental and vision coverage because he doesn't have a job. I pray for everyone that takes personal responsibility to improve their own lives and stops blaming everyone else for his/her own problems, I pray for Israel. No - we are not, there are people that are really hoping that you fail because you are doing something that they didnt do. Its unfortunate but true. If they had their way they would do away with direct entry NP - I am sure you will do good things with your future and by your dialogue I can tell you are an articulate and intelligent person. WHat makes you say I don't respect bedside nursing? Whoever said that? How am I minimizing bedside nursing by saying I DONT WANT TO DO IT. If I dont want to do something, I dont do it, its that simple. I dont want to be a meter maid or a postal worker, so I dont do it. Does that mean I dont respect them? No, its just I prefer not to do that type of work. Yeah - I am just happy I didnt have to go through bedside nursing for 5 years prior to obtaining my NP degree...its better left to someone else who likes that type of thing. Oh and if one doesnt desire to go to an NP with less than 5 years of bedside experience then they don't need to. Actually I don't recall any of my patients asking me a question like that so its not a concern for me. I will do whatever is in my power to encourage individuals who are getting their BSN to go immediately into the advanced degree program if they are so interested. As a matter of fact, this is my new passion in life.

Hey John - Wow what a pathetic human being to say that to you - My advice is, there are people all your life that tell you not to do something. Firstly, being that you were in the real world for so long you nkow what it takse to get the job done I am sure, nursing school is no different. You will do fine just study when you have to - dont let morons try to scare you "you dont have a snowballs chance in hell of passing" etc.... Next time she says she cannot picture you as a nurse because you are male, say something sarcastic like "yeah i guess your right, I cant picture woman as doctors" and she will get the hint. Bottom line, dont listen other people when they try to deter you frmo donig something unless they ahve your best interests at heart, 95% of the time they are jealous or are FOS - She is probably jealous because she had to remove herself from the program because she wasnt self disciplined or mentally strong enough to take studying for an exam, so she wants to project it on you because your success in that would be painful to her ego... Go for it and you will do good things!

fair enough, the last thing I would ever do is trash someone who is overweight, it is true that we have differrent metabolic rates and we store fat differently, HOWEVER - you must --- you HAVE TO recognize obesity as a disease process that will shorten your lifespan and make the life that you lead harder. I dont know, for me..its like, if I am unwell I would do whatever it takes to become well, to become healthier to feel better etc....I guess its easy for me to say that looking from my own eyes...I think if people just had the knowledge i had regarding exercise and nutrition they could really help themselves to lead better and healthier lives..just my opinion......

No, i dont follow BFL - I dont know what that is... I just work out 3-4 times a week about 45-60 minutes each time. I lift heavy weights and I would say I am in great shape for my age. I drink a whey protein shake in the morning and have some rice and vegetables, i go to work, before lunch If I get hungry I will down another protein shake, then have a light lunch, a small snack after and then a good dinner, I eat alot of spanish food - Rice, chicken, beef, vegetables. I dont have any dairy products, worse thing you can do for your body. I am not addicted to coffee or soda, however on the weekends I will go splurge on some mexican food because I love it.. The key is to eat light you dont need all these carbohydrates - and if you feel tired its probably for a good reason, instead of drinking coffee and soda to give yourself an artificial high question your lifestyle and health and do steps to improve it..... ANYONE CAN DO IT - its all about Knowledge and self discipline -
