  1. Hey everyone! Well 3rd times a charm, or 3rd time you go back to sit on the bench. Me, well, I'm sitting on the bench again. I'm glad everyone could use the web sight that I posted about Henry Ford Community College. It was very helpful but I didn't pass the reading again. (60 % is passing in reading --is that standard??) 92% in math was great though---I'm trying to be positive here! I am just heartbroken. I just am running out of steam. I can try once more in March. I just don't know what else to try with this reading. I have a few questions for anyone who can help: 1) Are you scored only on the percentage you answer correctly? If you don't answer a question, is it counted against you? 2) How do you go back to review??? I could not go back at all. We knew that before we began the test. Thanks.
  2. nicistarr: check out my post #43 about the following link: http://www.hfcclab.info/NET/reading resources.htm This is an extremely helpful site. HANG IN THERE. YOU CAN DO THIS! I have tried twice before. I am not going to give up. I pray too. I'll say a prayer for you also. When do you take it again? I am trying on Feb. 16th.
  3. :Melody: :roll great news..having twice taken the NET..I am going to try again. THIS IS THE BEST LINK EVER..... http://www.hfcclab.info/NET/reading resources.htm. This is by far the most helpful link on the web for helping with reading comprehension on the net exam. It has tons of practice and really helps. I finally feel like someone is trying to help me "get in and stay in" instead of helping me "get out". Has anyone else noticed there seems to be tons of material on the NCLEX but very little help for the net. I guess that's because there's so many trying to get in. I passed the math with flying colors but this reading is sooooo different. I really think that the ERI world study guide is right on the money for help with the math section but is less than helpful for reading. TRY THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!! HANG IN THERE EVERYONE!!!WE WILL MAKE IT!! STUDY HARD!!
  4. Alice: Try this link before you purchase flash cards; http://www.studystack.com
  5. Hey everyone! There is a web sight "Paradise Valley Community College" -use Google as search engine. They have a download for the net test- help with the reading comprehension section. Great place to start.
  6. Batman, Hi!! I took the NET test. I took the NET at two different community colleges in my area. One college tested over math, reading, science, and the learning styles. The other college used only reading and math. The ERI guide is all that I have to study. You are right, the ERI guide has no science at all! Imagine how blown away I was when I saw questions about mitosis!!! Thanks for the information. I have been on the internet for hours trying to find reading comp help. I have hired a teacher to help in Jan. I will try again in March or April.
  7. :welcome: I have taken the NET twice now. I can help with the science if you can help with the reading. The science on the test I took was basic. Basic anatomy. I got my anatomy book out and started at the beginning and looked at the basics. One question I remember: What is the knee bone? Stuff like that. protons, neutrons, number on outer shell. What college????? I'm trying Ga. colleges too. Thanks. Oh, any online practice tests (free) for reading or any other part?????
  8. Hey. I just took the NET and will have to try, try again. The science portion was easy just review (basic, very basic) anatomy and micro. The math is easy if you practice the problems provided in the study guide (eriworld). The reading is another story. The NET guide has general reading material and the actual test is science related reading. Haha....go figure. I just lost it and hurried when I ran out of time on the math (which I did excellent on). I will get there. PLEASE TELL ME IF THERE ARE ANY FREE ONLINE PRACTICE TESTS FOR THE READING PORTION. THANKS.
  9. what about Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Ga. Are they on probation???
