to be honest, i dont think there is a secret. it's just really more applicants than there are spaces.

my friend spoke with the nursing office. apparently this year the competition was SO fierce that their range of accepted GPAs was 3.98 to 4.0!!! they turned away 3.95's *and* 4.0s!! craaaazy.

i checked my mail today, and i was horrified when i saw the small letter; my heart was crushed, and i totally thought i wasn't accepted. admitting defeat, i opened it anyway, and to astonishment, it was a letter of acceptance!! omg, i'm dying here......

I'm still anxiously waiting for mine.... I'm so sorry you didn't get in though - it's just not fair. =/ What more can one do, really?? Are there other schools you've applied to at least? Also, do you know if I can call and ask about admission status...

I'm pretty sure the bare minimum is at least 1 year in an ICU setting. I have heard of people applying and getting in before their first year in the ICU was finished up though.
