  1. Hi @denialprincess I came in Norway last year. Good job you have studied norsk already. Keep studying and take prøve 3 once you arrive in Norway since all nursing aide job posts require it. Once you have your autorisasjon, prøve 3, and you can speak and write norsk in real life, you'll have a good chance of getting a job I guess.
  2. @Bernard Frimpong Based on my experience here, I recommend that you take things slowly to 1) save money and 2) save time. While you're in Ghana, apply for authorization as nursing aide or health care worker via SAK â€" sak.no and study Norwegian language through online resources. There are so many websites and forums giving free Norwegian lessons. Check UDI for requirements in obtaining student visa at UDI: Which studies entitle you to a residence permit?
  3. I'm a nurse with the student visa, came here in Norway in April 2013. What's your profession?
  4. You need to have Prøve 3 and autorisasjon som hjelpepleier from SAKS.
  5. What's the update? Are you in Norway now?
  6. I totally agree with most of the comments. Do not tell anybody unless you have signed a new contract.
  7. I am! I always take a shower the moment I arrive work from work. Always. And the shoes, I always leave them outside the patio.
  8. I reminded my co-nurse about our planned coffee and talk after the shift. That eased the stress.
  9. I used to hire newly graduated nurses before. I would have been impressed with your experiences; struggling to pass NCLEX while working hard with personal matters. Hang on, better hospital awaits in the future for you.
  10. I would inform her that it was a personal comment that shouldn't have been discussed during the interview. To help her out, I'd advised her it may help her grab a job if she refrain from doing the untoward behavior.
  11. I have male and female friends who are nurses with tattoos. They're in UK, Canada and U.S.A. respectively. A tattoo is never a ground for denying one a visa. I have huge tattoos, I just signed an employment contract for a New York nursing homes. I'm positive American embassy will not reject me because of my tattoo. :mnnnrsngrk:
