  1. Hi! I've just started my CNA classes this week and should finish in Dec! I am so excited to actually even be taking the class. Clinicals will start the 1st of December and I can't wait for that either! Wish me Luck! Cassie
  2. yep! go to www.carolinascollege.edu/Academic/pre_nursing.cfm for more specific info on that! Hopefully that link should work. good luck!
  3. hey guys, I too, am aware of the points system. whenever I met with a counselor at the north campus of CPCC, the woman at the time did tell me it would be a year to get in if I applied now. I'm not sure if there were special circumstances regarding my situation or what... so sorry about that. As far as why I have decided to go to cmc or rather CCHS, it's basically because I am planning on entering the pre-nursing program and as long as you complete the 4 core courses with the required passing GPA, then you are gauranteed a seat in the nursing program. This is very appealing to me, seeing as how in highschool I had very mediocre grades (so getting into the nursing program would be very difficult for me!). Anyways, CP, CCHS, & Pres. are all highly regarded for their nursing programs and many have said they prepare you for exams fully. I also know that it should be very easy securing a job. So good luck in whatever you do!
  4. Hi! I'm actually starting their CNA program this October. I'm really excited about that. I went to thier general nursing orientation last month and they seem really personable and like they care about their students. I plan on applying to their pre-nursing program next because that guarantees you a spot in their nursing program (which is good because it appears to be very competitve). On the bright side, if you get in, thats fantastic because once you graduate, you are also gauranteed a job! what program did you apply for?
  5. Well, Ive always liked my name Cassie Elizabeth. Ive only known 1 other Cassie. The downside is people pronounce it as Casey. But I love girl names like Emma, Ava, Grace, McKenzie, Reagan. theyre all becoming really popular though!
  6. hi, i was planning on attending cpcc for the adn program but just recently decided to go with carolinas medical center nursing program. but ive heard MANY times cp is really known for nursing. and alot of graduated nursing students have told me that they 100% prepare you for the nclex exam! so id definetly go with cpcc. you should apply early, b/c it is a yr waiting list if you get accepted.
  7. Hi, I live in Huntersville which is about 10-15 min from downtown Charlotte. I absolutely LOVE Huntersville. There are alot of things to do (like Birkdale), yet there is not the traffic/busyness of Charlotte. I will be going to school at Carolinas Medical Center (my mom works for carolinas healthcare system) http://www.carolinascollege.edu/ is an excellent website about their school. Charlotte/Huntersville has excellent hospitals so I cannot wait to get started. If yall have any other questions let me know and I can try and help you out!
