  1. When I did the PBDS at Swedish they told me that 70% of nurses don't pass... I just remember winging it and writing a lot of "notify MD"! Luckily I passed, but don't sweat it if you don't.
  2. I went through the new grad program at Swedish.... although the program was Ok, I really disliked working for Swedish....
  3. I love my merrells... they are great for flat feet.
  4. I have definately learned over the last several years that nursing in all about the customer service... at least in the USA.

  6. not a pronouciation thing... but hate it when people say, "Is she painful?"
  7. I agree with other posts... should not be the responsibility of nursing staff to take care of the dog.

  10. I am starting my first nursing job next week as an RN on ortho. I am really excited, but very nervous about finally starting my career. I am just looking for some advice, insight, etc. I want to be as prepared as possible before I start, although I know I am going to learn SO much when I actually get on the floor! What basic things should I know as an ortho nurse? What are the top 20 meds given on an ortho floor? Any info that you could give me would be great.... Thanks! Kyle

    Hi... I was hoping that I could get some more help from you wonderful nurses. I am starting my last clinical rotation in the ER this weekend. I would like to know what you think are the top 10 (or 20) meds that are frequently used in the ER. I want to be as prepared as I can for this rotation, so I would like to make some med cards before the weekend. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you, Kyle
