  1. A lot of OB. Good luck on the test!
  2. 1.What book did you guys use to review? Saunders Comprehensive Review 2.How many hours/How many questions did you guys do in a day? 10-30 questions a day on and off for a few months I stopped studying 3 months before the exam. 3.How long do you think we should wait (as in..after graduation) to take the test ? (i am planning on taking it in middle of july..already send my papers in) I waited a year. But whenever you feel ready, that's when you should take it. 4.How did you study for your NLCEX ? I'm good at retaining information and remembered lots of things that were taught during school. Don't always rely on a study/review book, rely more on the skills/material that you've learned in school. Have lots of confidence in yourself and what you were taught.
  3. As a matter of fact, I had a lot of OB questions on the exam. But each exam is different for everyone. Since you know your weakness, study a little more in that area. Best of luck to you. I'm horrible at studying, but I just love anything that has to deal with nursing/medical things...lol Thanks everyone for your kind words. mis64: I am so relieved! I'm so ready to move forward. Good luck with your exam.
  4. I'm so overwhelmed, happy, and very sleepy. I took my test on June 4th and found my results out after 10 am today. I passed with the maximum amount of questions on the NCLEX-PN. I studied with the Saunders Comprehensive Review book on and off for a few months. I graduated May of 2006 and took my boards for the first time this month. Yes, I've been out of school for a year. I studied on and off 'cause I believed in what I have learned during nursing school. I believed in myself. Please believe in yourself and good luck on the test everyone! :balloons: :monkeydance:
  5. I really don't know how long they've been working there or as unit managers, but must be at least a few years. I live in Virginia, and my workplace is in Dublin. The unit managers consist of 4/5 LPNs and one RN.
  6. Thanks, I'll be taking my NCLEX exam tomorrow at 9 am...lol
  7. Some of our unit managers are LPNs and they're over some RNs that are hired as regular floor/charge nurses.
  8. At my workplace, the RN's are the only ones allowed to change catheters and IV stuff. That's pretty much it between the LPNs and RNs at my place...lol
  9. That's wonderful!
  10. I haven't taken the exam yet, but please do not view yourself as a failure. You can always try again. Have some confidence in yourself. You'll only fail again if you keep thinking that you will. That will cause you to not study as much or be as determined. You will pass the exam next time! Keep thinking that. Think it, feel it, then make it happen.
  11. I'm awaiting my ATT, and it has been a full year since I was out of LPN school. I'm also afraid of failing, but I made myself a large note in read saying that I will pass the NCLEX-PN. I also read positive threads in here about passing to give me some courage..lol Try to have a mindset of a determined person. Don't doubt yourself and study as much as you can.
  12. Tell him that you're taken, and to stop stalking you.
  13. CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so happy for you/your friend, and reading stories like this one give me more in confidence in passing when I go take the NCLEX-PN.
  14. I never thought about breaking the subjects down. Thanks a lot. I still remember a lot of things. But the whole pass rate ordeal scares me...lol
  15. Hope you did super great and passed!
