  1. soliticing post removed for Terms Of Service compliance.
  2. The Mosby is not outdated. Remember, the nursing content does not change only the questions do. The main purpose is to retain rationales so that you can apply them to other questions. You could purchase 100 books and study only one the right way and pass the NCLEX! THere is really no difference, just pick one and go for it!
  3. soliciting post removed.
  4. First of all, I think the Saunders book is a little too advanced for you at this point. Why don't you try the smaller review books from Lippincott. They have small review books in topics you are learning in school: for example, Med Surgical, Pediatrics, you get the idea.
  5. Hi,and welcome! Don't give up! There are study plans available for retakers ands International students. If you are interested, I will give you the info!
  6. There are several good books out there. The one that my University recommends is endorsed by the NSNA (National Student Nurses Assoc). Delmar Learning sells it. It focuses on client need categories and is very easy to follow.
  7. There are a lot of good books and plans out there. You just need to find the one that is right for you. One of my friends was in your shoes. She was encouraged to try a 90 day study plan because she needed to really review the content. She did it and passed! She had failed the NCLEX twice and was on her last chance before a refresher course. Hang in there!
  8. Where do you get this study guide everyone is talking about?
  9. Good luck! I will graduate in December and will soon be feeling your anxiety.
  10. I am using an NCLEX review book from Delmar Tomson. It is excellent. It has a special section on Pharm, Delegation, and an Interactive CD ROM for IV Therapy. One book is all you need, just focus and practice al lot.
  11. Here is another one: Episiotomy assessment: REEDA Redness Edema Ecchymosis Discharge Approximation of skin
  12. Good for you! I tried to get this message out to the NCLEX forum, but administration pulled it.... said I was spamming. I justwanted to spread the work about something new. I am checking out the website now. I need to pass the NCLEX and am tired of the same old stuff.......
  13. I just got a call from a friend of mine who siad that there is a really cool site for retakers with study plans, questions on MP3 players, cool packages and CDs. A nurse practitioner is running the site and has been teaching the NCLEX with success. I will check it out and let you know. They also have a lot of free flash cards and test questions for practice.
  14. Alcohol withdrawal: clinical symptoms (HITS) H- Hallucinations (visual, tactile) I- Increased vital signs and insomnia T- Tremens (delirium tremens) lethal S- Shaking, Sweating, Seizures, Stomach pain (nausea/vomiting)
  15. Hi, Please be careful with the free site for the NCLEX 3500 questions. Companies like Lippincott do not just put one of their products on the web for free.
