Yes, it was made clear to me when I went up to visit the campus and met with my advisor. But before that, I didn't know about clinicals. I don't have my first clinical until August 30th.

What is the best NYC hospital for a fresh grad?
From what I hear it depends on the hospital. And by state law they have to provide you with a break.

What is the best NYC hospital for a fresh grad?
I heard that Staten Island University Hospital has tuition reimbursement as well. But I've also heard that nurses may get anywhere from 6-12 patients.

Cost of living in NY
Why don't you move to some place like Staten Island? Apartments are cheap here, and the crime really isn't horrible at all. We have 3 bridges connecting to Jersey, one connecting to Brooklyn. We even have a ferry that can take you to Manhattan and loads of buses and a train to take you to that ferry. You can always park your car here, parking spaces are abundant. There are many catholic/private schools out here, and the public schools are up to par with the rest of the city. Groceries will never cost you that much, we have a lot of nice places like Pathmark/ShopRite, even Costco.

How much is everyone paying for books this upcoming semester?
Well that $1300 is for the whole year. None of it is coming out of my pocket, all financial aid. I don't have to pay it back until graduation. And thats the cost of all books new, I'm hoping to get used and knock the price down to around 950.

My School
Currently, my school only has a AAS program. But they are implementing a 4 year degree, and I have heard it's through distance learning. Do you guys reccommend this? How does it work? Can I have a job and do this at the same time? Do employers look down upon online/distance learning degrees as opposed to actual degrees from campuses? Does it say you achieved the degree through distance learning on the actual degree?

If you live somewhere in the city, you can get anywhere in the city within an hour. So you should check schools in Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, and the Bronx.
