I agree with everything galvtexas said; it wouldn't be unpatriotic to be professional when it comes to the workplace, or any place for that matter when in the company of english-speaking friends.

I second that. I really hate this particular trend in the Philippines, it's very similar to another word I dislike..."Nepotism'..

I think the government should increase funding for gov't hospitals so that they would have the resources to hire more nurses here. Plus, admission to nursing schools nowadays should be limited until the thousands of unemployed nurses here find a job....

I'm really interested in working in Australia, however, as I said in my previous post I have no hospital experience whatsoever. I'm planning on taking the IELTS exam as soon as possible, what would be the logical next step afterwards?
