  1. What about hospice.
  2. I meant “write”
  3. Yes, I do recall using one of my leadership skill examples more than once for a different question being asked. And of course, the answer was more detailed due to the type of question I was being asked. I did right my answers in a narrative but I got to the point and remove all unnecessary verbiage (eliminate run on sentences).
  4. All my answers were centered around my leadership skills. With each question I would think of a job situation that I experienced that was a good fit with what was being asked. I used SBAR to answer the questions (Situation: Get to the point, Background: Get to the point, Assessment: (Get to the point and Results: Get to the point). These questions will require you to regurgitate your nursing experiences through the years and to demonstrate your abilities to handle the situation, coworker, nursing leaders, upper leadership, and team building. Never sell yourself short! think of what you have implemented to cause a positive change in your workplace. Nothing is too small! also if you were part of a group of coworkers brainstorming changes that needed to be made to make things better and run more proficient then speak on these things. Communicate about how you contributed in the group and your brainstorming ideas.
  5. I start my new job at the VA on Aug 1st as a Nurse 2 and never worked in the VA before. I’m pretty ignorant to the importance of being a Nurse 2 and/or trying to jump from Nurse 1 to Nurse 2. I’m willing to share tips on how I answered the Dimensions of Nursing questionnaire. By the time I was done I had 7-8 pages of answers to the questioned asked.
  6. I believe that you will pass this exam, just don't giv up and give in to defeat. Are you giving suzanne's plan a try? I don't think you will be disappointed. My prayers are with you and for you.
  7. I am a retaker and I am doing suzanne's plan but I will be testing the very end of oct also.
  8. I am so sorry for the lost of your mother. I lost my mom in 2007 and at the time I was a clinical supervisor with 16 people under my authority. That was one of the most hardest times of my life, I buried myself in my work and at night I cried in the shower for my mother so many times but I pushed to make her proud of me in ever way possible. I feel your pain and will keep you in prayer.
  9. I know someone who failed their boards 3 times in florida and had to take a remedial course before they were allowed to sit again for testing. The FBN have a list of different places that do remedial in class or online that they accept. The person took an online course that cost about $650.00 which covered 2 parts. The theory part had to be covered and at the end a test is given and you must score 75-80% to pass the theory section before you can move on to the clinical portion. The clinical portion is a bit more intense because they had o find a plac that would allow them to do their clinicals their and for them that was a headache and also they had to do 100 clinical hrs. They finally found a home health agency that allowed them to do thier clinicals. Paperwork for your clinical preceptor must be filled out even before you can begin clinicals. At the end of clinicals their preeptor had to fill out a form rating thier work and thier was a checklist that had to be completed and checked off by the preceptor. After all that was done they sent in the FBN fee amt, the FBN had to receive their certificate of completion from the remedial course, also they had to do ceu's (prevention med errors) once all those things were in the FBN sent info they were set, she then paid $200 to pearson vue to test, within 48hrs through her email she received her ATT and she set her date and went on to pass her RN boards. She went through CNET of North Dakota which is only FBN acceptable list.
  10. My only suggestion is prayer and believe that you are ready!!! I'll be praying:up:.
  11. I am praying for you and I believe this time you will pass. I am doing suzanne's plan and I test oct 31st since I also failed aug 7th. Hang in their!
  12. New to home health and have concerns of the safety of entering someones home to provide them with healthcare. Has anyone every been attacked or lost their life?
  13. Congrats:bow: I am getting ready myself to sit again for this monster, but I believe this time "I will pass". So happy for you.
  14. I am in their with you simon, I failed my rn and started doing her plan, hopefully us both will pass this time.
  15. I live in florida, and I thought that if pearson has your unofficial results then if you pass then your name also appears on the BON site no matter what. I am just looking for answers don't mean to be a baby about this:bluecry1:
  16. I checked pearson vue today for results and no results were in but tonight they have my unofficial results were in. So I went to the BON site and my name did not come up. Does this mean I failed because pearson has unofficial results. which I decided not to pay to see since my name did not appear on the BON site? Any thought welcomed.
  17. Congrats and I will find out this week on my results:yeah::yeah::yeah:
  18. I also took the nclex today with 265 questions. At least you cried, I am to numb to even let out whimper. I will keep you in constant prayer and do the same for me.:wink2:
  19. I just returned from taking the mind blogging nclex exam and I am numb. I had all 265 questions with 4 SATA, 3 math, uncountable medications, uncountable access first and now I just sit back and play the waiting game. I am so numb. By all means share your thoughts please:eek:
  20. I am a lpn today but this coming friday I take my rn boards. I have studied the saunders comp, prioritization/delegation/mosbys nclex cards/ and gave myself over to much prayer and meditation and still praying.:wink2:
  21. OK to all my undefeated and enduring sistas. Keep your head up and press deeper into passing this exam. Distractions and frustrations wil come to take you off the road to success (NCLEX) but stay mindful that the more trouble comes, only means the closer you are to conquering what people have thought has conquered you. You conquerred nursing school and you will conquer the NCLEX:bow:
  22. You go girl!
  23. No, your mind is not fried, it is just that it is "show time". You have studied and studied. So now it's time to let all that info settle and sink in and pass your exam. My prayers are with you.
  24. Hello my sista, first exhale, take a break, early in the morning throw chicken in the crock pot with some seasoning and you could add a little red or white cooking wine for flavor, cook on low for about 8 hrs. Add simple sides/veggie and pray. Dinner ready, teens eat, you more calmer and if need be study for 30- 60 minutes take another break. The plan is for you to conquer and not be conquerred by anything else. I been their, done that, and ready to give my all and do my best this coming friday on the NCLEX_RN. I am with you and my prayers are towards you.
