Hello, I just wanted to share my experience with the FNP ANCC board cert exam. I passed after my second attempt. There were about 10-15 skin/eye photos asking to identify which you would treat with, for example, and antiviral or antibiotic, or which would you biopsy, or which would be an emergent referral, etc. Several multiple answer questions; and clinical vs nonclinical questions were like 50/50. This is what I used to pass the exam: Fitzgerald review book Maria Leik review book and review class (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!) familiarize yourself with derm/eye photos Good luck to everyone!!!

Hi everyone! I'm currently employed in New York and I may be relocating to Dallas. Right now I am in an FNP program and won't be moving until I finish and am licensed as an FNP as well. Does anyone know how the job market is out there for either a RN or FNP? and pay rate? thanks!

Hello all. I need some advice! I am a new nurse ( started in feb 09) and I am very eager to go back to school. I am currently working on a floor that cares for post-op ortho surgery adult patients and I am torn btwn going back to grad school to become a women's health/perinatal np or adult health np. I absolutely LOVED my maternity rotation in school which got me to think about being an np in that area, but now that I work with adults, I feel that going back to school for an adult np program may be an easier transition for me. Also, I'm not sure if it would be easier for me to find a job as a women's health np vs finding a job as an adult np in NYC. can anyone help?? thanx

I live in NYC and i just got my RN license last month. Im STILL looking for a job. I got my associates degree in nursing and a bachelors degree in lib arts. i applied to many hospitals but i still havent heard a thing! any suggestions??

hey i did kaplan and i scored a 61 on the diagnostic and a 58 on the readiness test. i took the comprehensive course and i did all of the qbank questions. i passed the nclex on the first take thank god. i think you should review content and know how to critically think so that you can get the higher level questions right:):typing according to kaplan you should get a 65 on the tests and at least a 60 on qbank questions.

hey im freaking out too!! im waiting for my results. i got 117 questions but its tru wat i hear that it doesnt matter how many questions you got. i hope i passed too even tho im convinced that i failed. hopefully we are in the 85% batch. i hope u passed!!! im sure you did! wat did u do to prepare? i did kaplan and saunders

i just got home from taking my exam and i think i failed. it was so hard and crazy! it shut off at around 117 questions but im really worried that i didnt get enough high level questions because i only had about 5 SATA; HELP!!! OPINIONS???

hey everyone i'm just needing some support right now. im taking my exam tomorrow and i'm so scared. i keep trying to review facts in my head but i know i just need to relax. i took the kaplan course and did ALL the questions in the qbank. any suggestions on how to relax??
