  1. i received my result just 2 weeks after the nclex. when i had my interview at the embassy, they asked for a copy of it.
  2. thanks for the info daning
  3. To mikle: did you pay extra other than the peso equivalent of $95 to st luke's for every vaccine that they gave you? thanks.
  4. hahahaha! :rotfl: revenge at last! just kidding! i'm sure you were happy to oblige.... during the start of class we were about 20 plus students... the number trickled down to 15..... most of them decided to drop out when we started making the ncps. it was hard to make the shift. some even tried to challenge the nursing diagnosis ---- to the exasperation of our very patient instructors.... although i could see them trying to control themselves... and still smile... :d :angryfire :angryfire :argue: :d at first it was a nightmare making those ncps...then some of er staff started to teach me. some of my consultants now are graduates of bsn..and still they are asking me how to process nclex, cg, ielts...some of them are not so good with computers to start with. i just advise them to take up computer (basic) course...
  5. as an md, you're always concentrating on diseases. one of my classmates during one of our rotations even said i can't remember the patient's name. but, i'm sure that i'll remember who he is if you tell me what his diagnosis is. i'm sure a lot of doctors turned nurses would agree that they have done this a lot of times. i wish i took nursing as my pre- med course. but, better late than never! the shift i have made is definitely the best move i have made so far. congrats!!!! who can remember a patients' name when all you have to do is diagnose them and recite your management over the phone to your consultants??? when i decided to try nursing, all my consultants' eyes were on me... it was as if i killed their patients. two years later, some of them are asking me how to make nursing care plans...:monkeydance:
  6. west neg??? what i can tell you is that we all had a hard time at the PRC when we filed for the exam...i really don't know about what is behind the West Neg and the PRC. the latest 'news' that i heard was last june, 2006, all graduates of west negros was requested to pack up their things on their first day of examination (medical, nonmedical and regular graduates). if you're from western visayas, you might have heard this rumors. passing all those exams, IELTS, CG and NCLEX is easier as to reasoning to PRC people why you're worthy to take that local exam. anyway, good luck.
  7. how often does the embassy post the schedule of interview in their website?
  8. thank you..
  9. :mortarboard: :penguin: guess what? i have some consultants here who are 50 and above and still in nursing school. so 34 is not old...i even know someone who is now 65 and she graduated just last year...
  10. i'll be taking NCLEX this july in HK and...maybe i'm stupid to ask this but i have to. how long does it take to finish the exam? how many items? how many minutes do they give you in order to answer for every question. the only thing i know about this exam is it's computer based....thanks. and may we all pass. though i have no time to scan my reviewer yet.
  11. hi. how did you process your fingerprint card in IL? how much did it cost you? and how did you send your payment? bank draft? please provide me some info. thanks.
  12. YOU need toefl for BON. and TSE or IELTS for visascreen. check the website. good luck..
  13. i have this problem about this police certificates. i stayed in a city (aside from my permanent residence) for 10 years, 1990-2000 for my college and post grad studies. the police won't issue a certificate that states my length of stay there (as stated in requirements for DS 230). what will i do? i only stayed in that place during class days (i go home every weekends)and i never change my address. it was just a dormnitory. do i have to obtain this police clearance? thanks...
  14. i need an opinion/answer please... i am currently adopting a child. there's no court order yet (meaning, no birth certificate in my name yet) i already received the DS 230. and it states there that i have to provide the birth certificate of a dependent/s i wish to migrate with...i really want to bring this child with me. anybody has any idea??? thanks...
  15. thanks for the advice...i already contacted the IL board of nursing. they said that CGFNS certificate is still ok...you're correct in saying CGFNS exam is not really geared in predicting what you learned...but more on what you're paying them!!!!:trout:
  16. the nvs for ds230 is requiring a police certificate from the police authorities of locality, does it mean an NBI clearance? or just a police clearance? does anybody here have any idea??? thanks.
  17. the nvc for ds230 is requiring a police certificate from the police authorities of locality, does it mean an NBI clearance? or just a police clearance? does anybody here have any idea??? thanks.
  18. i have this unanswered question since IL became a non CG requiring state. I passed IELTS and CGFNS. I have a VISASCREEN. i was so frustrated when i checked the IL BON that they now require CES and TOEFL. i have no choice but IL since my family lives there. Does it mean that i have to take TOEFL and have this CES? anybody has a concrete info regarding this? I already read the IL BON guidelines and etc. but there's no mention there regarding this matter. i wrote the BON last february and haven't received anything from them since then. I already sent my DS 230 (or whatever it is). I just want to finish all my exams before i enter USA. Please if anybody has a concrete info regarding this matter....
  19. i already read the IL requirements and nothing is mentioned about what to do when you're a CGFNS passer...thanks for the information.
  20. hello...i am new here. thanks for my friend who told me about this website. i got some questions. i hope someone can answer this. i am planning to work in IL. by the way, i'm from philippines. last year, i passed CGFNS and received my certificate and visascreen. i took IELTS. i was so frustrated to learn that IL is now requiring TOEFL and CES. what does it mean? do i have to take TOEFL and have this CES? please advise....i really need it. i even wrote the dept of professional regulation in IL about this last february but i got no response until now. by the way, i have no choice but IL.
  21. AMEN to you, dilimon....but mind you even those who are above 60's are trying to get into nursing school...why do i knew this things??? because i am one of their classmates. the only difference is that they are MY CONSULTANTS...but we are all equal when we are in school. ten years ago, when i started med school, i never imagined to becaome a nurse...but we are pushed against the wall (literally).
