Hi janechy, Ohio state doesn't need cgfns certification & it's very close to michigan also.only thing is not that much easy to stay in michigan & work in ohio unless your uncle lives near the boarder. I hope michigan eliminates cgfns requirements then you don't have to worry at all right? all the best & hope for the changes very soon!!

Hi everybody, I feel good now that I'm not alone! I have a baby too. so, I understand exactly what you're feeling right now! I'm also reading saunder's (doing 2-3 ch./day ) if, i get less than 75% then I read entire chapter & do the qs. again coz..i want to make sure that i know the content of that chapter before i go further. if, I get more than 75% then I read all rationales whether I got right or wrong. I guess that's why it takes time! sometimes i feel that when am i going to finish this whole book? I feel the same thing like you said "am i too slow"? & with baby it's not an easy to spend time whenever you feel like reading it! we both wish each other good luck for finishing & remembering saunder's!

I never tried any online review course but it's good to know that ncsbn provides 3 wks review course for less than $50. how about questions? are they letting you to do 1500-2000 qs after reviewing? are you preparing for nclex-RN exam?(coz..I need company for studying in library)

HI, I'm reading ch#10(acid-base balance) from saunder's & I've a que. about compensation mechanism. I answered the que.#4 based on compensation rules on pg#107(saunder's 3rd edition-color print) & I got wrong when i read rationales it's saying opposite rules than what they are saynig in pg#107. can someone pl. explain it to me about compensation mechanism. >HOW CAN U FIGURE IT OUT IN RESP.ACIDOSIS & RESP. ALKALOSIS -PARTIAL COMPENSATION & UNCOMPENSATION. >SAME THING ABOUT METABOLIC ACIDOSIS & MET. ALKALOSI - PARTIAL COMPENSATION & UNCOMPENSATION I know one thing is that when compensation occurs ph stays within normal limits. only problem with pco2 & hco3 compensation & uncompensation. Thanks for your reply. NCSBN web site has list of states but it takes time to search with each state to get info. & cgfns web site has not updated,may be they will update later. but thank anyways.

Hi, Does anybody has any info. regarding which states requires CP before nclex? & which states requires CES or CVS before nclex? I just checked cgfns website to get this info. but I guess it's not updated because it's still showing NJ requires CP.

Hi Suzanne & everybody, I am posting this thread here because there is so many students like me to struggled to pass the exam to become RN. My situation is, I graduated long time ago from out side of united states.I took cgfns couple of times & nclex one time & I did not get success may be due to some family circumstances and also couldn't prepare well enough for the exam.anyways, now I want to throughly study again & wants to follow your first tip.now my que.is how many wks should i make plan for using first tip? last time when i take my nclex for first time I did not have enough time to finish whole book due to exam validity time & i had to rushed to take exam so i couldn't finish the whole book or cd. now I want to finish both but i don't know how will it take time?see last time for couple of chapters i had to finish whole chp.because i didn't get 75% then test again.now I want to study again & finish whole book acc. to your first tip then after finishing book I want to do only qs from cd ,100 qs/day.so please,guide me how to make plan to finish both things? cgfns exam is coming next month so i will not be able to follow your tips for this exam but it will help me for nclex exam that i have not sceduled it yet again. Hi Everybody, I'm very much nervous & tensed about running out of time for practising ncelx rn tests from cd. i'm so affraid about timing because my test shuts off before i finish the test & so many times i couldn't finish rest of the 10 que.although, it's saying is "your time has finished.however,you may still finish the test but in actual test you will not allowed to do so". so, now I see the timing for each que. that did i finish in one minute? and that makes me in lot of stress while reading que. & rationales along with thinking timing that i'm not taking too long time. can someone please tell me how is going to be in actual nclex exam? I took nclex-pn 3 yrs ago,i remembered that my computer shut off at 120 que. & i was reading que. thourghly along with all rationales before selecting without worry about timing.(may be i took 2 minuts for so many que.) & by grass of God I passed. I know nclex- rn is harder than pn so do you guys think i should take enough time for reading que. & rationals without worrying about timing. please help me out for this solution. thanks in advance.

Thanks Amy for reply. by the way I'm studying from Saunder's 2 nd edition, i guess that's why mine doesn't work by doing all categories @ one time I have to do only one @ a time. but, at least now i now how to score my level from study mode too. I pray to God that we both will pass our boards @ one time.
