Career and Family
It definitely can be done. I just graduated in May as well and have two children one of them being on the autism spectrum. It can be difficult but from my experience by being a mother you are forced to make the most of you time. I think for me it was easier then my peers who had no children because it was easier for them to procrastinate.

Parenting while going to nursing school
I also went to school while raising children and I think it helped in that you really need to focus. You definitely learn the master the art of time management which also helps once your nursing.

What would you do??????
I am also in the same situation however out letters went out today so I should know either today or tomorrow. I asked if they would give me a GPA cutoff etc...and I was told that is not the only criteria they use...they were incredibly vague and pretty much let me know I needed to wait for the letter. Our letters we supposed to have gone out over two weeks ago but for whatever reason they were delayed. I definitely can sympathize with you......just knowing either way so you can move forward. I am sure you will get in...I wish you much luck....

Anyone attending MBCC in Metrowest!!!
Carrie, I would love to hear about it. I found out that the letters for admission are going out this Wednesday. I am a little worried because I have heard so many different things and really have no idea what to expect. I am pretty sure I will be getting into the full time day program as my GPA is great and I am finishing up everything this semester. I would just love to hear your perspective on the program. I am specifically worried about the math for meds portion as I am not that great in math. If you have any suggestions on how I could better prepare I would really appreciate it. I look forward to hearing from you... Kellie

Math for Meds
I am finishing up my pre-reqs this semester and will be entering nursing school in the fall of 2006. I am wondering if anyone happens to know what type of math I should be focusing on. I have completed up until College Algebra however I still don't feel competent with my math skills. If anyone knows of any links, books, websites etc that would help me improve the skills I will need specifically for nursing I would appreciate it.
