Please refer also to this thread especially response #11 (Suzzane4). You might get better insight regarding your case. But take note this was on 2007. https://allnurses.com/international-nursing/any-filipino-nurse-206530.html

Slowing down LEGAL immigration process in the US
True. I am a legal immigrant in the US for 5 years already. I do have a stable job. But watching these ads bring out the uncertainty in switching jobs or moving to another state.

Slowing down LEGAL immigration process in the US
This video is now shown in local stations not only in California but also in other states. This just shows that there is strong call for the government to slow down legal immigration and prioritze to give jobs to the US unemployed. This means even longer processing times to those who are waiting for visas and smaller opportunities for immigrants to get job especially without experience. This is reality but how do others feel about this?

Hi everyone! Had my interview a while ago and it all went well. My two cents for everybody: 1. No need to be there very early if you're scheduled at 8:00-8:30 am. Lest you will be wasting a considerable amount of time waiting coz those having their appointment at 6-7 am will be prioritized. Only the person with appointment will be allowed within the embassy premises. 2. Have a good breakfast because you'll be expecting a long queue outside the gates and even inside. 3. The night before, prepare all that you'll need. All the requirements written in P4. In addition, your visa screen certificate, notarized job offer, NCLEX test result, and NCLEX license. Make sure that you have it photocopied. Also bring all the things that you may think are necessary. 4. Attire doesn't need to be formal. Wear comfy but presentable clothes. (i have observed that others just wore shorts). Comfy clothes because it's humid outside the gates where you'll initially stay. A fan may come in handy. 5. I suggest not to bring your cell phones. It's not allowed inside, though they may keep it for safekeeping. Bring extra ID so that you can deposit your cell phones. 6. Always keep an eye on the screens where numbers are flashed. 7. Take time to talk to the people around you. Not only will you gain friends but also receive ideas and inputs. Needlesstosay, will also decrease your anxiety. 8. Pray, pray and pray. Need I say more? I hope everyone will have their visas soon. With all your docs complete, a healthy mind, and help from above.... you'll have no problems. Good Luck!!!

Nurse not sked A.advice please..
Nurse's wife: No problem. Just like I told you. I had the same exactly the same confusion as yours in the past.:chuckle Daning: The employees there told me that Thursday and Friday has lesser patients. And they're right. Day 1, I went there at about 5:30am. I ended 11am. Day 2, 8am 'til 3pm. That is if results are all favorable. St. Luke's has a systematic scheme and it's really effective. Though you won't know the entire result until the embassy interview. Goodluck....

Nurse not sked A.advice please..
guys, FYI.... Schedule A petition is under the EB3 category. So before you panic, confirm to your lawyers first if his petition is specified under Sched A. My petition paper appears like this: Category: EB3-Skilled Worker/Professional --- Schedule A Nurse. BYW, NURSE DEPENDENT... Thanks for sharing your medical exam experiences. It helped a lot. Had my medical a while ago.:roll

Help!!!! (saklolo, Tabang!!!!)
I'm so sorry to hear that. I think your agency does not know what they're doing. Your papers are in slow mode. Bad thing is you have to accept that you have to re-take your IELTS. Nothing can be done if it expires. You have to move on FORWARD... Moreover, focus on your upcoming NCLEX (do your best to pass it since I believe that your CGFNS is also expired by now) then apply for IELTS immediately. File for Visascreen after to avoid it in expiring again. At an average, if you 'll take NCLEX on May, file for I-140 on June, take IELTS by July-August, then file for Visascreen by September, I-140 approved on November, lastly consular interview by July 2007. You have not mentioned regarding P3 processing though and the state where you are heading to (if CGFNS is still required). I have a feeling that your P3 has never been started at all. I think you should consider to leaving that agency despite them shouldering your NCLEX. (If you can just sue them for moral damages.):angryfire It would be a good idea to contact your employer directly and tell them the real picture of the situation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they would understand and come up with a good solution. Otherwise, you'll have to find for another employer and start the process from scratch. Yikes! I advise you to familiarize yourself with the entire process. There are lots of threads here that you can read along... I am definitely bothered by your situation right now and I am praying that you'll get over this soon. We're all with you....:blushkiss

So it's now Nebraska to handle ALL immigrant petition. I don't know what will be the implication. But based on my experience, among the four service centers, Nebraska is the slowest...

immigrant visa applicants
Titanium: I would presume that your employer or immigrant lawyer had specified the the following info in your i-140 application: Status sought: E-3 Skilled Worker Category: Schedule A Nurse If this has been the case then don't fret, your application isn't wrong. But otherwise if you have been applied for a different category other than Schedule A, then you really can't expect to receive the fee bill since no visa numbers are available for them until now. Your employer/agency should receive a notification regarding that. Give your employer/lawyers a call or a good email about your concern. I'm hoping that this will be resolved with a simple follow-up. Hang on there.

Longest wait from NCLEX - I-140 approval
Bettyboop: Yup 2 1/2 years is OMG!!!! My papers had been missing in the cracks at Nebraska Service Center. I need to ask for a US Congressman to intervene. After several days of that Congressional inquiry, I got the approval.. Whoaaah!!! Oh well, the good thing is I got a good job here that kept me busy and bother-less on waiting otherwise probably I'm now crazy... I'm taking Ohio as an entry point though, away from the larger states but been hearing good feedbacks over there... Still waiting for the interview and off I go.

Longest wait from NCLEX - I-140 approval
Not to scare anyone, but I have waited for 2 1/2 years before my I140 got approved (Nebraska). That's a very long, painful waiting and thank God I got over it.... Now, I'm waiting for my interview maybe this April. Good luck to all those who are waiting for their I140 approval... Believe me, the waiting doesn't end there....
